if ur gonna be driving a lot and wanna keep the car indefinitely, then you should buy. if you're not gonna drive excessively and plan on always having a new whip every couple years and don't mind always paying a note, then you should lease.

OP can get pre-approved somewhere else, but sometimes dealerships have really good financing deals. so maybe they have a 0% deal going, he should definitely take that if he can qualify. Always best to have financing options if you can.

Do get a pre approved loan
Dealers will always give you higher rate because of the kick backs they get.

Do look around see what a fair price is(used and new) for the models you are looking at

Dont be afraid to walk out if something is fishy or your not looking the terms

Don't get fixated on a particular model or brand

Leashing is great if you want to change cars every few years and do not want about maintenance
Insurance will be higher because you will have to carry full coverage

when it comes to insurance, you have to have full coverage if you buy and are paying a car note. if you don't have the title, regardless of buying or leasing, you are gonna have to have full coverage.

Not true at all. My previous twos cars that I financed, I gotten by without full coverage.

maybe where u live, but that shyt don't fly out here. the lienholder needs assurances that they will get their bread back just in case you wreck the whip while ur still making payments which is why they want ur whip covered.

Again you waste time not providing anything productive. I already said it before, i did my research on it already, but if there's someone on this site that has some knowledge that can help me or another person that i might have missed then please share. Sometimes like in this situation, asking one simple question (TIPS ON GETTING A NEW CAR) is broad enough so that people can fill in the question with what they might know, being it mechanical, financial, how to check if frame work is good/bad etc. Its not a fukking test, its a simple question where anyone can give insight on what the question was about. Applause for your insight on cars though, really fukking helpful. Ill let you have it tho
your post says "i need help..."

you then said

I got caught up in the flood here in Dallas a Month ago, and It fukked up my electrical for my car. Getting my car appraised right now but i dunno how much I might get. Any of yall have any tips on buying new, CPO, Used cars?

wtf, you want us to tell you.

You want this thread to be a car buying/leasing/loaning/cpo tip guide with a bunch of mangled nonesense or do you want help

how much money u got to spend on a car
down payment
monthly max payment
you want a suv, 4 door, etc etc
longevity of your car
miles you're going to drive

ther'es a bunch of tips but not everyone of them are going to help YOU

here's a tip , go through Porsche's finance bank they have really good APR's and give you good residuals on their car and allow you to buy points

oh wait...you're not in the market for Porsche? So you just wasted my time because you didn't define that shyt before. Now, I'm just gonna ignore you because you're a lazy ignoramus

what type of coverage did you have - full implies comprehensive and collision with liability and other things.

most places when you finance you have to have collision and comprehensive to cover their asset.

If you buy a cpo, get a carfax and let 2 mechanics check it out for you. If it's high mileage (2010 with 150k) or more than 2 owners, pass on it otherwise you'll end up with a car that fails every other month.

Same advice goes if you finance and its not from a reputable dealer.

If you have decent credit over 730 then apply for financing through your bank or credit card company first then shop around. Call the dealership and tell them what car you have and that you've already secured financing. That way they can't jerk you around into a deal you don't want.

If you have bad credit and they offer you an interest rate over 10% then walk away, save yourself the high note, and buy cash. High interest rates mean you'll be upside down in payments as soon as you sign the paperwork and will never be able to trade it in for something else.

Good looking out everybody, even you dumb asses that dont understand simple english.

Since there really isn't a official thread on buying, selling, mechanical problems etc. for cars let just make this our go to thread. There's nothing like that in the Show Room from what I seen, and I see that other cats are going through the same thing as me right now. (Needing to buy a car) We all trying to help ourselves so lets help everybody else while we at it. No bullshyt, just knowledge on the car game and everything that correlates to it.

yeah i see you switched the title up

and you still haven't told anyone exactly what your issue is the last 5 posts is of people giving different opinions that are based on a pretense that you fit that particular criteria. you still refuse to give any answers - so I'm done here, you're trolling for hits as far as Im concerned.
