nah man, Nelly was too sweet for me. In 2000 I was listening to Sigel, CNN, the seeds of the Nas/Jay war being planted, Jadakiss and the likes. Nelly wasn't doing shyt for me lyrically in 2000, that was bubble gum rap to us.

People are too obsessed with numbers. It does not matter... I think it comes with the obsession with new music all the time.

That is why people like to say artist "fall off". WTF is falling off? They are artist. They have been doing this their whole life. They made it to a point in their career that 99% of the people who attempt, dont reach. Think about that. 99% of you could have made 1% of the hits Nelly made. Or Tip made. Or Jay Made. Or Nas made. But nikkahs is quick to say a nikka is larry holmes, or falling off. Just because they dont make a song every day.

Then when a nikka makes a song every day. Yall say he dont be talking about shyt lmao.

Drake better look at Nelly and make sure he don't repeat the same mistakes.

Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it :heh:

what mistakes?

I NEVER was a fan. He was living on borrowed time anyways by selling all these records in the first place.
other than Jay z and Wayne

every rapper that has made it big was on borrowed time.
