Some apps are way faster to use on a phone than the TV menu, or you might be at someone elses house/hotel and dont want to connect your accounts to their tv.

I can see not using it, but never "hearing" of casting is wild, it's a basic feature and button on most video streaming sites and services including your cellphone :skip: no different than connecting your phone to a music speaker via Bluetooth
Iono any scenario I would "cast" from my phone? Doesn't see relevant breh sorry

It has nothing to do with laziness. It was another option that should be given for any reason.
If u too lazy to log in netflix and too forgetful to log out, u should be isolated in your room for the rest of your life.

Still waiting for a legit reason why anyone would wanna cast netflix to their TV....

This is probably to support their crackdown on account sharing to make sure only users in the same physical home are sharing an account. I’m pretty sure they give a leeway for mobile devices if you’re traveling before you get back to your home network. So a college kid could cast his parents Netflix at school if he goes home periodically. Getting rid of casting the family would have to upgrade the account or he would have to get his own
