Let's be reality fukk netflix, the only reason they took it down is because of the stand up deal they have with Dave. If they were down they wouldn't have added chappelle show in the first place.
That was Dave’s point tho

they value their relationship with Dave more than the guaranteed money from viewers watching chappelle show and for that he fukks with em

he asked once and they made a quick decision on his behalf, that’s good business

Watching Chappelle's specials, you can tell dude has disdain for the #MeToo and feminist movement :mjlol:

Not that he supports the evil men, but that he feels white women are finessing the system when they were in on the heist lol. I fukks with that heavy cuz I believe that too.

The Truth
:stopitslime: Yeah, well some "pieces of paper" are legally binding. The fact that it's written on paper doesn't make it meaningless.

Dave is in the same position as a lot of other artists who don't have his platform. Or money. I'm not terribly symptomatic.
That piece of paper with Netflix was legally binding too and they didn’t seem to give a fukk...

and ok... since that piece of paper keeps shyt from being even SLIGHTLY fair, Dave Chappele can call them out publicly for the workd to see and tell his millions of fans to stop fukking with that show and even that network (which he didn’t even go that far).

Sounds fair to me

This is unfortunate but you need to fully understand contracts and the ramifications before you sign them. It sounds like a shytty deal but it is one he signed and just because you get the short end of the stick does not mean you are getting jerked. Hopefully he can get something out of this but i doubt it.
This stupid shyt here
Since the existence of contracts there have been instances where some contracts were illegally constructed, etc. And things got resolved in court.

U posted like u seen his contract and know for sure shyt like his shyt was proper:mjlol:

I watched some of the chappelle show over the weekend.....alot of skits aged like milk :scust:
That RKelly pee pee doo doo butter skit had my girl (who never saw the show) like :unimpressed:, I couldn't even spin how that was funny in 2004 to her
Anyway good for him, boycott the shyt. He need to just do another show on netflix under a new name. Them last few specials wasn't hitting so try a show again, breh is sliding into Paul Mooney territory of being an old head who is wise but not funny :martin:

Y'all turn everything he says into some deep shyt. What he said was common sense :gucci:
I wonder how many here will have the same views about he music industry. Most dont own their publishing, and complain about it. Doesnt stop them from listening though.

He's become a full circle storyteller, that is a great skill.

I'll say, hearing that LOX campaign to get freed from the Diddy contract, Lupe getting his fans to get his album dropped, Natalie Imbruglia's fans doing the same. Going back to the Motown days and rock stars in the 30s taking black work, there is too much going on to where we are taken advantage of but don't see it.

Michael Jackson stressed ownership of his own work and taking back black legends' work from these devilish contracts.

On the other hand, there is a lot of leverage these companies hold and that's because like Dave said, he was a hungry broke 28 year old with a kid. After being denied for so long you are ready to get put on. Even at the cost of your name.
