I’ll do you one better. All those clowns trying to put Monique on Dave/Chris/Kevin’s level, can’t name me ONE Monique stand up bit. Not one. Maybe Netflix just feel she doesn’t have the same pull/demographic to warrant her demands.

That’s not to completely exclude discrimination as a factor but these birds championing Monique like she’s a comedy goddesses. She’s best known for winning an Oscar depicting the worst stereotype of a black woman.

Who says I don’t?

I'm not even on that like I don't want to compare black people and shyt I want everyone to get paid amounts that are commensurate with their work. It's not about Mo'Nique v Dave. It should never be a fight amongst ourselves.

The reason I asked that is because you can tell those women don't care about Mo'Nique at all. shyt they don't even know what's going on with Dave. They're weaponizing Mo'Nique and using her situation to attack Dave and black men when they have nothing to do with each other. They're so filled with hate they're dizzy. One was talking about Mo'Nique being right about Netflix being foul all along when they were the only ones who did right by Dave.

I'm just tired of these fake people who think activism consists of brow-beating people about issues they themselves don't care about and conveniently drag up on some all lives matter shyt. Mo'Nique asked people to boycott Netflix almost 3 years ago and these lazy hoes couldn't even start a change.org petition for her :why: and that shyt is free, there are 686 of those motherfukkers for keeping Friends on Netflix alone. Just lazy and useless people who want to outsource the struggle to someone else then play victim afterwards when a man steps up to fight his own battle.

I wonder where society would be if these crazy women and alphabet gang took the time they spend hating on black men and used it to patronize each other's artistic endeavors and businesses. Where would Mo'Nique be if these hoes actually spent money on her shows when she's touring and how would that affect her bargaining position with Netflix and them :ohhh:?

The amount of stupidity in these tweets. Do they not understand the difference between someone asking you to boycott their show and the other asking you to boycott a WHOLE streaming service?:why:

Doubly stupid cause Dave is not saying Netflix are the bad guys. In Dave's story Netflix are the good guys.

And I'm sorry but Mo'Nique is probably more annoying to me than anything in 2020. I'm not sure I even want to see her at all. So the fact that her price was way lower than others' seems to match my level of interest in her.

But Dave is flexing. Mo tried to flex but once again her imagination was greater than her true ability to flex

Dave on the other hand, we'll see but Dave seems to have more ability to flex than Mo. He has a decent chance of getting his way I would say

And that all goes back to how big of a draw the act is. Mo can't flex cause she doesn't have the audience like that. Dave can flex cause he does have the audience to do so.

Hence the difference in pay scale

I read a lot of musician autobiographies, and I forget who it was that said it's not about how much they pay you, it's about your name and likeness.

Take the case of the band KISS, in the early 80s two of the members Ace and Peter got like 1M each to sign away the rights to their "characters" names, makeup, and likeness. Years later when that KISS merch was selling and the band was holding "KISS conventions" and selling costumes and shyt, they didn't see a penny from that.

Chapelle said it best, industry is a monster.

Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons bought it, or maybe Paul all by himself. And in the 2000s they replaced Ace and Peter with new members in the old makeup and costumes.

Imagine dressing someone up like Michael Jackson and going out on tour, even though everyone knows it's not him and still making bread. shyt is wild.

I signed a contract for my job. I read it, and had a lawyer read it. I made sure there was nothing in there I would look back on and regret having signed it. We really Shoehorning in someone’s death as a comparison to someone willingly signing a multi million dollar contract and agreeing to everything in it. Absolutely fukking laughable. It’s simple. Don’t sign something you will regret later on due to ignorance. Who’s fault is it for agreeing to something you say was unethical in the first place? Takes two parties to agree to a signed contract. If it’s so unethical, tell them to shove it and go elsewhere. Yet he signed it :heh:
You really comparing the contract for your $8/hr job to the $50million deal for Chappelle :dwillhuh:

So he read the contract, agreed to it to provide for his fam, and yet is mad years later over what he agreed to. Who’s to blame? He agreed to take home 5 mil for a show that made hundreds of millions over the course of a few years. Now he has regrets. Oh well
