Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
You mean if they never traded for Deron? Again, the interest needle isn't moving for a relatively unknown PG from a mid-major, Derrick Favors, and Brook Lopez. From a business standpoint they couldn't have a half empty arena after the first week of the season, not after all the fanfare they created.

I never would have traded for Deron, you don't throw picks away like the Nets have been doing.

Basketball is the business, the Nets had no foresight when it came to basketball moves. When you put the business first you make horrible basketball decisions that bite you in the ass sooner rather than later. You do not trade high first rounders like that, every team that is happy to trade their picks ends up ass with very few exceptions.

Unfortunately the only way that coulda been built is if they never moved to Brooklyn. Long term they woulda been fine but nobody can stomach a new move to an empty arena, let alone NY. Even NYCFC needed David Villa and Lampard

I wish they stayed in Newark :mjcry:, selfish reason aside they would've been so eager to make shortsighted flashy trades and would be a much better position to be competitve.

Outside of the Deron part, which I think is hindsight talking, I don't disagree with a single thing you said here. I'm just trying to explain the rationale. Bad luck and zero contingency plan are the reasons for this mess right now

No protection at all, the Celtics either get to swap picks or they get the pick outright.

The Nets have the 3rd worst record in the league now and Jarret Jack is out for the season, basically they're going to get Ingram, Dunn, Simmons or Bender.

the nets will be even worse in 2017 and 2018 :mjlol:

looks like kobe is gonna help the lakers keep their pick this year :wow:

They got to the semis that year. Their ceiling was capped no doubt but the team went for it. They didn't realize the window would shut so quickly. They didn't foresee Kidd ditching them. Some of it is bad luck.
So did Kidd leave because he saw the fukkery was going to be too much and saw a better opportunity with the Bucks or did Nets management want him gone as well?

At the time, the Nets traded for a top 3 at worst PG in his prime and still fairly young. If you saw that deal going bad then cool, but you were definitely in the minority.

Kidd was trying to get Billy King fired so he could become the GM, but Russian Billionaire wasn't going for it, so Kidd went and convinced the Bucks owner (a friend of his) to fire Larry Drew so he could become the coach in Milwaukee.

The damage was already done tho :netscry:

Time to find a GM who realizes this roster is fukked and do whatever needs to be done to start going the right direction

Coach, fukk just find someone who knows what a rotation is and they're already 10 times the coach Hollins is

Should hav been happen. I feel sorry for who ever has to fix this mess
It's not that terrible. The next GM that comes to that place is not going to be blamed for billy king's mistakes. Joe Johnsons contract expires and they will have money for free agency and a rebuilding process. Sign some players for a reasonable price, let your players build trade value by giving good minutes and slowly build that team till those draft picks come back again. The key is not to make a desperate move by overpaying some trash player, thats something that I hope nets learned.
