In all honesty, Nash is the perfect fit for this Nets squad. I don't think there's anyone out there that would be more suitable for this job. You break everything down as to why he landed this role, and it all makes complete sense.

How you think he'll work out with Byrie???

The homie @Greenhornet touched on it briefly before - both of them are on the same wavelength, and from a player-coach relationship standpoint, it's hard for me to see a scenario where this ends in tears. Durant, Kyrie and Nash have the potential to build something really special, if the former two can stay healthy.

they both trip balls it will work
nash is outspoken but smart enough to always be a figurehead

lets not forget when nash managed the entire suns roster and kept everyone happy
lets also not forget that nash kept composure when his wife delivered a black baby :russ: because his wife fukked a teammate and he divorced her in the hospital
WHILE also continuing to be the fukking man on court with his teammates right after:mj: yall clearly didnt watch no suns shyt ... he will probably spend a considerable amount of time with Kyrie now
and he will take blame as KD and him avoid confrontation, most players know the mistakes they made. Nash isnt going to push the issue and blame teammates... he will be very much like a D'antoni with better chemistry and drills.

White NBA Player Steve Nash Divorced Because His Pregnant Wife Had A Black Baby!?

:sas2: ... not you but that's what I was saying in my last post... people werent watching the suns like that. I watched probably 90% of their games from before the MVP seasons

people saying "like the warriors" but Suns have key pieces in Golden State, Brooklyn now and Houston... people tried to sidestep the Kerr being GM for the Suns shyt too when he got his job
these dudes been putting together teams and coming within games from NBA finals since way back over a decade. All the Suns trades were Kerr and Marks, with probably Nash instructing who would be a good fit and having the last say on stuff. They all took what the suns were missing and modified it x4 with these 3 teams. All very laid back dudes about that close out deal life.

Congrats to him.

Another white guy who gets a coveted NBA coaching job with zero NBA coaching experience.
@Box Factory explain why my comment was neg-worthy, please?

I've been negged a lot, often in the spirit of trolling, but your neg of this particular comment raises questions. It seems you don't care much for the hoops black people have to jump through to get coveted head coaching positions. People like Patrick Ewing and Sam Cassell can't even get a foot in the door. And yet Steve Nash gets a job without having built up any experience or coaching resume.

Your neg heavily suggests you endorse this double standard.

You're ignoring the obvious to create a narrative to slander Nash

It's blatantly clear why he got the job. His relationship with the players clearly got him the job

Saying he has no experience just shows you don't know what you're talking about. He's coached and worked at the executive level

I don’t mind this signing frfr. I hope Agent Zero follows through on what he said after Kobe died and ends up being a coach.
He seems intent on coaching AAU, his podcast lately has highlighted high school players and advice on how to grow their games. I enjoy listening to Gilbert’s takes on basketball and would like to see him in a player personnel role, but there’s no way I could see an NBA team having him on a coaching staff after the way his career ended

White privilege absolutely got him the job. Anyone claiming otherwise is a fukking imbecile.

He literally got arguably the most coveted gig in the League with zero coaching experience. That just isn't happening for a black man.

That doesn't necessarily mean he'll be bad at his job but his skin color obviously played a huge role.

And it's especially noticeable because this type of thing isn't exclusive to the NBA. Black athletes just don't land these great gigs they always have to grind their way from the bottom.
