Here's the bigger issue in regards to this situation:
there's 4 head coaching vacancies (Chicago, Philly, New Orleans, Indiana, eventually Houston) and Vaughn was more comfortable turning an interim gig into a raise instead of being a potential candidate for 4 different places). Brooklyn did right by Vaughn.

Kidd pretty much started up coaching right after he retired from playing so it wasn't too far of a stretch.

Superc00ns?? That shyt is facts. I get the sentiment but acting like Steve Nash is some random guy off the street is ridiculous. Y'all are acting like they gave Mark Madsen the job or some shyt.
Now that I've sat on this for an hour...
1) The statement says Marks wanted someone who his players would respect (Kyrie and KD)
2) He would never hire a new coach without their consent given the money he's just paid them
3) Nash and KD have a good relationship already
4) If they gave the job to Jacques and made Nash the assistant, than there would always be a backdoor ear to whisper to and undercut Jacques team control
5) It's apparent now it was never gonna be Jacques, becasue KD and Kyrie didn't want him.
It's still a bad look, but it feels more like a bad look to placate his stars than an attempt to just hire a white dude over Jacques.
