Also seems like people have completely erased Derek Fisher’s stint with the Knicks from memory :skip:

That said though, the frustration is understandable because of the disproportionate amount of Black coaches. 75-80% Black players with only 5 head coaches right now. Then you add on the perception that it’s harder for Black coaches to get their foot in the door, and when they do the margin for error is not the same.

It's only 5 black HCs? :ohhh:

I thought the NBA was the progressive league

Nothing right by being leapfrogged for someone with inexperience. I had the misfortune years back of being let go after a private equity firm acquisition, after surviving the two prior acquisitions. After my departure, the lone other Black guy in my department trained a 25 y/o white girl, 15 years his junior, for 6 months and they made her his boss. They bumped his salary up too to placate him, but dude is walking around that office nutless.

Nah. This is bs. Nothing to be “grateful” for. He put in his time to be head coach of this team and got leapfrogged for someone with less experience, and usually that inexperience is housed in someone white.
If the players asked for steve, its 100% the right move. It's a players league. If kyrie and Kd want steve, you hire steve. It isnt rocket science and this isnt corporate america where experience and track-record result in automatic promotions. There is no "skipping the line", in coaching.

The NBA is no different a business than what you see in corporate America. They should have never shammed interviewed Vaughn for the head coaching position if that were the case.

I was extremely impressed by his coaching in the bubble.

The fact that someone brought up Rondo would be a great coach because he's a basketball genius, and had multiple daps, tells me that this board doesn't know a cotdamn thing about what coaching is about.
Well you don’t know a thing about basketball or coaching so you have something in common with them :mjlol:
