The NBA is no different a business than what you see in corporate America. They should have never shammed interviewed Vaughn for the head coaching position if that were the case.

I was extremely impressed by his coaching in the bubble.

NBA is very different in that the employees earn more than there boss and call shots like whos gonna be there boss...that dynamic doesnt happen in any other corner of the corporate world...

He did show promise in the bubble. But I'm not even speaking on the merits of his coaching ability. I'm just saying, if KD and kyrie ask for a coach, you hire that coach. That sets a much better precedent for black personnel than just it being a pure front office decision.

He's just trying to reaffirm his blackness. He does this all the time.

Everyone knows he straddles the fence and cherry picks on certain topics to "go in on" when it comes to race. Check the First Take clips on Drew Brees' comments.

His forced rants are just an attempt to overcompensate.
Yea like the Jerry jones attacks. Such a low-hanging fruit, dude not fooling anyone with that bs

KD wanted a big name coach he's comfortable with clearly. If he wanted Vaughn, he'd be coach. Superstars have never had more leverage over major coaching/personnel decisions.

Same reason Atkinson got fired early :manny:

Interesting if Kyrie supported this. Soooo, you wanted the players to sit out the bubble due to racial injustice in America, yet you support the hiring of yet another white head coach with zero head coach experience when there were other experienced black men available for the job? :childplease:
:gucci:

Disrespectful comparison. True militants are rolling in their grave.

Here's the bigger issue in regards to this situation:

there's 4 head coaching vacancies (Chicago, Philly, New Orleans, Indiana, eventually Houston) and Vaughn was more comfortable turning an interim gig into a raise instead of being a potential candidate for 4 different places). Brooklyn did right by Vaughn.
If they wanted to "do right" by him, they should've made him the HC
