Lol they keep making the media write more articles about them with this shyt:russ:

Dude with no head coaching experience now coaches title contenders. I guess it will be Kyrie and KD scoring and the rest of three dudes on the court for the rebounds.

shyt even Lue had assistant experience before he was ridin Bron coattails in Cleveland

Yeah I do....... KD isnt the owner or the GM. Pretty sure they could have him fall back for at least half a season before kowtowing. But it looks like Sean was in favor of the move as well

If KD said he wanted Nash then thats who gets hired...If Kd Kyrie wanted Jacques Vaughan to be the coach. He would be the coach.

This is training/mentoring/teaching. All of those are some type of aspect involved in coaching, but it’s far from being an NBA head coach
KD clearly felt different :manny: I don’t see any scenario where he didn’t push for this.

Worth repeating they axed a solid coach, with a good development record because they wanted someone the new stars approved of.

KD and Kyrie cool with a head coach with no coaching experience :francis:

Show's you where they head is really at...
1. He's been around the strategic decisions of coaching for the past few years, first as an advisor to Kerr to build the GSW-machine and then GM Canadas national team. And he was basically a coach at Suns.

2. If you keep track of soccer you'd know that some of the best coaches are former players with high soccer iq, who basically only coached the youth team before taking over the team.

3. That might not work in the nfl but most likely in the nba, see Steve Kerr for recent receipts.

Didnt see this coming at all but definitely makes sense. Sean Marks / Nash connection. Durant/Nash Warriors connection. He's been an advisor/coach during the Warriors championship runs.

Hope he finds more success here that Kidd did during his first seasons. Kyrie could learn a thing or two about leadership and pace. LeVert will learn a lot. Durant will benefit. Allen and Jordan bout to have a bump in points this year off that pick n roll too.

Who's gonna be the defensive mind on this coaching staff tho? Hope Vaughn got some schemes handy.

To an extent..... Sean wouldn't go with someone he thinks would set the team back. I understand KD is the superstar and probably initiated this move but Sean is no David Griffith. He's been masterful since he took over that FO. Even if it was just for half a season with some other coach, he wouldve held off if he thought this move would be detrimental.

Dont forget, Sean is also a former teammate of Steve's. All accounts are saying Sean was one of the early advocates for Steve

Look I understand the need for black representation on coaching staffs and front-office, I get it. But let's keep it real, there are 30 head coaching jobs. Hundreds of front-office jobs. This makes up an extremely insignificant portion of the black population. I dont know you but i can damn-near guarantee you dont know anyone that has held a job in the nba. My point is, it's not that damn important to compare it to more significant issues such as state-sanctioned murder. It's a disrespectful comparison.
Of course the result is not comparable, dead bodies vs. lost job opportunities, but it's still a part of systemic racism. And Kyrie has a DIRECT connection to the situation. I don't see where the players sitting out, as he suggested, would have had more of an impact than playing, particularly with the all the social justice awareness that is all over every game from uniforms to banners to every interview. But Kyrie could have had an impact on this situation. 5 black head coaches out of 30 in a league thats 85% black, while not as serious as a dead body, is still a slap in the face to black people and evidence that in so many ways blacks don't "matter". The dead militants you spoke of would have jumped on this as well.

Nah. Kenny wasn't solid. I hate when non-Nets fans who dont watch games come in with this stuff.

Honestly wouldnt be surprised if Sean went to KD and Kyrie with the Nash suggestion.

Dude is a former player GM. Not that far removed from the court. Probably wants a say in what goes on from an on court X's and O's standpoint. Makes a lot of sense for him to get a former teammate, hofer, who he knows has a great relationship with his 2 star players. The more I think about it, the more I think it's a genius decision by Sean in terms of org structure. Let's see how it plays out on the court
