Uncertain grounds
As a fan I don't like this deal. I guess OKC don't want to develop Steven Adams as a starting center ( OKC NEVER feed Adams in the post), plus I don't trust Brook Lopez health. This would put us over the cap, and we haven't given up that much in that Lopez trade so it's a win win. Perkins needs to be involve in that trade to make salaries work. Plus Lopez is a free agent next year, so hopefully we can sign Lopez for cheap and start Adams.

hes got a player option and its a guarantee he exercises it

I'll post what I put in the Random thread:

I guess that trade could make OKC a little better, but Lopez is always hurt and slow as sin when their team is based on speed. They're gonna be WAY over the cap next season if they acquire him too.

Agree to disagree. Yes, it will hurt our speed, but this team needs easy buckets when the game slows down. Too many jumpshots and not many easy buckets down low. This is why OKC needs a big that can post up.

He a great low post scorer? Something OKC has never ever had?And if all they have to do is give up Lamb for him that a fukking steal.
:comeon:Thats not the type of center you need in the West with all these PGs that can kill you on the Pick and roll. There's no way they get past the Warriors, Spurs, Portland, CLippers or Memphis in a 7 game series.

and OKC doesnt' need a great low post scorer.

He can probably get like 4/40 tho
I'd be shocked if he got more than three years on a deal. He'll get the same contract after next season too and maybe more if he proves he can stay healthy for an entire season.

He can help on offense, but he's gonna get abused in pick and rolls out west. A lot of bigs are gonna get easy baskets in transition too because Lopez is always gonna be the last guy up the court. I don't know that his positives outweigh the negatives.
