Bernie fans. Answer me a few questions.
Why should college be a "right" without exceptions across the board? We already have an issue with college graduates not being able to find a job in the first place. Secondly, why should tax payers bare the burden of paying for someone going into say...classical literature only to work as a barista because their degree has no real world application? They will fail to contribute to the same system that paid for their education and secondly it just seems like a waste of money.
I can understand for skilled labor related jobs, subsidizing it, but throwing money into someone studying bullshyt is a waste of money.
Second question. Do you realize that the president is only one part of the three part system of government? Don't you realize that someone like Bernie who seem to be a staunch uncompromising believer will more than likely not get any of his ideas passed through congress? Either that, or he will change his positions in order to actually get work done which will leave you sad.
Answer those questions and maybe you'll convince me that Hillary isn't the better choice for Democrats (relatively speaking) than Bernie Sanders.
1. I think its pretty obvious that free tuition should go towards individuals who are majoring in studies that facilitate economic growth. Not art studies or bullshyt like that.
2. We spent enough money on the Iraq War to subsidize college education for every young American for the next 28 years, I hear nobody talking about how big of a waste of money that war was
3. Bernie talked about a "revolution", that is not just the presidency, he is talking about putting in representatives of the people at the state, local and federal level (such as congressmen)
If you think a neo-liberal is the best choice for Dems, I can't help you
