On March 1, Super Tuesday, Sanders and Clinton will contest 11 states, with a total of 865 delegates up for grabs. According to polls released on Wednesday by Public Policy Polling, Hillary Clinton holds commanding leads in eight of those states, and also maintains a narrow lead in a ninth state, Oklahoma.


Of the Super Tuesday states, only Sanders’ home state of Vermont and its New England neighbor Massachusetts appear to be firmly in the Bernie Sanders camp, according to the PPP polls.


Five of the Super Tuesday states — Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia and Virginia — are in the southeast, where Clinton is believed by most political experts to hold her “firewall” of invulnerability and polling results appear to bear out the conventional wisdom.

Not only does Clinton lead Sanders by no less than 22 percentage points in each of those five Southeastern states, in the PPP poll, she also has a stranglehold on the state of Texas, with its 222 delegates, leading Sanders 57 to 34 there. And, in Louisiana, which holds its primary just four days after Super Tuesday on March 5, Clinton holds a dominating 60-29 lead.

Another issue Bernie is going to have going forward is the states that have closed primaries. Hillary won actual Democrats by a decent number in Nevada and as the primary moves into closed primaries where independent or historically Republican voters are not a part of the primary vote it will not be good for Bernie.

Did Bernie win the Latino vote? Nate Silver was skeptical of those polls because Hilary won all of the Latino counties.

I'm hearing Hillary won the counties but Bernie might of won the popular vote. Either way it wasn't by much. Whites, Bernie only won by about 2% which isn't a huge lead. With Blacks she basically bodied him with those numbers. Barack did not beat Hillary in the popular vote but he beat her in the delegates. Bernie has to win some more States Big to get this nomination. Hillary is up 2-1 right now with South Carolina on the board. She could be easily be 3-1 going into Super Tuesday after South Carolina.

So what you are saying is that most disadvantaged economic group in America is voting for a politician who will continue to widen that wealth disparity in the name of familiarity?

Not true at all. He has young voters and many of them do not have an affiliation. In many states you have to register with a party to vote in their primary. Those independent and young voters will just automatically be registered as Democrats so they can vote for him. This isn't a real point.
