She didn’t campaign well enough or in general because she was arrogant in thinking that people would automatically choose her over Trump when it came to it. Her arrogance was her downfall.
She wouldn’t have even gotten as far as she did if Biden had actually decided to run in 2016 and he would more than likely beat Trump then. She got spooked at the thought of Biden running and her camp out out feelers so he wouldn’t.

The broadcast news networks did not consistently cover the alleged criminal behavior of Trump's kids.
I'm not talking about a mention of it here and there. I'm talking about consistent coverage of what they were doing.
If we're talking about a mention of it here and there, then both CNN and MSNBC covered hunter Biden.

To be fair nobody thought Trump was winning, especially after he kept saying more and more outlandish shyt. Him even announcing he was running was taken as a joke by everybody, Republican or Democrat. Ironically the more outlandish shyt he said gained him more support.

If you live anywhere in the south, then you should have taken his threat serious from the jump. All those racist (even silent ones) whites needed was a face to their voice and frustrations and they latch on to it. Trump saw and opening and took it, which unfortunately the media helped him do.
It’s why I always say that we need to have conversations one of these days about the part the media played in what’s transpired in this country involving Trump and racism.

And I would actually argue they talked about Hunter more than they did Trump's kids. After all, the entire impeachment trial was about Trump's claims regarding Hunter. So they covered Hunter endlessly for at least 2 months, probably more than that.

Yeah, I see what you saying. I did see it back then but I still wasn't taking it seriously, even after he made the party nominee. Trump did stoop to the lowest common denominator that no Republican would ever dare do before and they felt like he was speaking for them, that's why they call it the "silent majority".

i lived in Florida then. You are right. I KNEW it was serious. I assumed it was the Florida effect but I saw how cacs and a lot of Hispanics were struggling to keep their MAGA hats under wraps but they were so excited they would always slip up and gush over him.
Dems DRASTICALLY underestimated the Clinton hate. I was around in the 90’s listening to am talk radio. Rush Limbaugh birthed a generation of MAGA lovers.
Rush would ether the Clintons daily and he had a huge fan base. All of those old Rush skits and talking points came right back when Hillary ran and it was like Puff remixing a 80’s song. Trump lovers heard something similar from their past and the Clinton irrational hate was back

If anything, Hillary would have flamed out quick because in 2016, Biden could do no wrong (his son had just passed and he had served as the VP to an extremely successful president).
