as someone who lurks this place a lot the annoying fanboyism is killing it

there's very little reasonable discussion on gaming, discussions deteriorate into ps4 vs xb1 pretty quickly

@Rekkapryde and @MeachTheMonster are as accountable as anyone. rekk just has poster of the year because coli is on the side of ps4.

This would be overkill I'm sure...but I wondered if this board could handle PS4 and Xbox One subforums.

As it stands, you have two groups of people who consider it normal to regularly troll and disrupt "the opposition's" threads...and it's just devaluing the entire discussion as a whole.

Maybe if we embraced the team nonsense, it could actually benefit everyone regardless: more PS4 and Xbone games would get stuck, gamertag/username lists can return, and the discussion could improve greatly.

The main forum can spotlight Indie, Nintendo, and PC releases...and other tech discussion, of course. It could regain its luster in no time. Fanboys can see who has the bigger clubhouse. Everyone would win.

Many other gaming sites already do this, so I don't see this as overkill at all.

And I should take over mod spot for my man @Kodie as he never here no more and I doubt he'd mind, lol.

Aight it sounds like we're going to try some heavier moderation. We'll start at the thread level, keeping them clean. Mods will now be inserting themselves into threads that are getting derailed, deleting the flame bait and letting everyone know to get back to the topic. Violators will be banned from the thread. Repeat violators will get temp banned and perm if it continues.

this heavier moderation should be conducted in legit threads. i dont mind a few fukkery threads here and there but please make them interesting and not half assed attempts. mods will let good ones rock

Then a lot of fukkery could be taken to the gaming streets and people could be put on summer jam screens but nobody shares shyt. Had that big ass MKX thread and nobody streamed any Coli Rooms



Brehs going back and forth over SF during EVO, and they have SF4 and can easily just play and post the matches here so everybody can see it and chime in and talk shyt, but no, let's just argue about console preferences

Here's the deal. Both consoles have multiplat games that are the same. XB1 has the better exclusives, better free titles, and the system itself does things the PS4 isn't even thinking about doing. The XB1 is more like a PC/XB1/Roku/Media Center combo while the PS4 is just a gaming console. The fact what I just said is true leads to jealousy. Then people make up things like how multiplats are different, and all exclusives are must haves

Then these same people will flood any thread that has better games to tell everyone how this better game is not as good as the exclusive they hype. Rumor has it this goes both ways, but reality is there are about 100 PS4 fanboys in this muthafukka getting free passes to do anything they want. Adding Rain as a Mod does literally NOTHING for the actual problem round these parts.
