I thought the Movie was dope

This was a nice lil movie.

I liked the hand to hand fighting in this. It's some of my favorite type of action. When the group met up for the first time I immediately knew what was up but was so glad when people were throwing hands.

Nice but of emotion from characters too. Won't go too deep on that.

My only real problem...

When Sentry fought the team that was dope as fukk. And then that's it. He's no longer Sentry at all. I get that the team can't fight a god but wow did he show up and just disappear.

....but I guess that's something you have to PAY for in a sequel.

This was garbage in my opinion.
Russian accents made the acting horrible.
Bucky was sleepwalking.
Mental health nonsense was boring and vague.
Ghost was barely there
USAgent is a bad actor
Elaine was just regular Elaine
Plot was rushed and nonsensical especially in the third act.
Barely a movie here…felt like a synthetic Fortnite skins commercial.

Something about this is not sitting right with me. I feel like Marvel still isn’t fully supporting Sam Wilson as CA. This movie sets him up as a soft antagonist, especially with the name change. And humanizing Walker really is messed up after what he did in FATWC. People are already bashing Sam because of it and sympathizing with Walker and Bucky in a way that feels frankly anti-Black. I don’t know why studios are so uncomfortable with a real Black superhero but yeah, this movie’s timing and framing, especially with the implied future conflict really turns me off.

Anthony Mackie just doesn't have leading man aura in my opinion. He was fine as Falcon and a sidekick to Evans's Captain America, but he just can't carry a franchise. Sorry to say it, but it's true.

Chadwick Boseman, on the other hand, had leading man aura, and that shined through in Black Panther (and in Captain America: Civil War). Black Panther: Wakanda Forever sorely missed his energy & presence.

If Sam Wilson was played by a different actor with more charisma and aura, then things would be different.

Sadly, Walker and Bucky have had a more nuanced portrayal in all of their appearances, so it lends to them being more sympathetic in general.


Combine Sam the character never really being that guy with Mackie definitely not being that guy, yeah.

If you saw CA Brave New World no way they make Sam Wilson any type of villain. I think this is just recency bias because they made John Walker acceptable, while they made Sam heroic it was just a few months ago so it's not as fresh.

They were all trying to lay the murder game down. She was the most competent. I'm not mad. And they all caught bodies in this movie.
