modern-day AZ >>> modern-day nas

AZ havent made a good album in over 6 years.
Nas > AZ in any era

.i say AZ is better than nas in the modern-day cuz AZ still got that fly-chit flow. nas is boring and.
of course, AZ is gonna have to come thru on this album to validate my claims. i understand that.

yall say AZ hasnt made a good album in years, but how many dope albums has nas made?

if it aint broke, dont fix it.
his real problem is his albums have $15 budgets and....i'll give you this one: he has a tendency to just breeze thru alot of tracks.
after 18 years he can't try one new thing? not one? maybe flowing with a different tempo? maybe having some type of feeling to his tracks? maybe try a creative concept or something? or possibly let mafioso rap rest, or at least approach differently than it was done in the 90s? i mean, just for one album. lol

Sounds to me like he is trying out a bit of a different flow from his last few albums, based off his last few tracks. On the N4L mixtape he had some different flows as well.
Also, I don't know why you would classify all his stuff as mafioso rap. Doe or Die (and maybe Pieces of a Man) was probably the only album where he predominantly had that type of content. His last few albums have had way more observational type of content, just talking about the hood and his life in general. Kind of like Nas' Life Is Good. AZ was on that 'life is good' vibe 4 years ago already with Undeniable.
Plus AZ is one of the few rappers who are interesting to listen to even if he's on a mediocre beat, just for his technical ability alone. His multi game is simply immaculate. Probably the most consistent of all lyrical mcees.
