I listened to the song twice yesterday and enjoyed it. It sounds like Nas had a lot of fun recording it and he's been killing these Legend Has It features.

Then I come in this thread and see a bunch of complaining. "He used to say vulgar, off-kilter shyt in a poetic way. Now, he's rhyming about nothing. Where are the quotables? Where are the obscure references?" "His voice and flow sound different." :unimpressed:

At this point, some of you would be better off listening to Street's Disciple because the Nas you're looking for is all over that album. I already know the Premier album thread is going to be a nightmare on release day. :snoop:

Of course it is because there's stans like you who will call it a classic no matter what it sounds like. And anyone who pushes back on that or critiques it will be called a hater by his weird stan army on here. Just accept that there's people who think Nas has taken a step back creatively. It's okay, me not being impressed doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. Learn to live with other people's opinions. This is just one man's opinion. If you want wall to wall dikkrding and groupie shyt, go to the Nas super thread on here. You won't find me in there.

You've been complaining about Nas' music for a while now. You're on record as saying 4:44 is better than all the Hit-Boy albums, which is legitimate stan behavior. It's obvious that Nas isn't for you anymore and you're going to be disappointed with whatever he puts out, so why bother listening to his current music? I don't see the Premier album changing your opinion.

You guys say things that are going to get people's attention (complaining about Nas' current lyricism), you get pushback, and then hide behind the "it's just my opinion" thing instead of elaborating more or trying to help people understand where you're coming from. What, do you expect people to automatically agree with you and not challenge you? You're inviting discussion by saying things like that.

Also, Nas is your GOAT, but you're too good for the Nas thread, like you can't come in there and say whatever you want. If you want to talk about your favorite Nas songs/albums in there, you can do that. But you would rather talk about anything other than what you actually like about your so-called GOAT.

If you legitimately think saying 4:44 is a better album than the Hitboy albums is an outlier crazy stan opinion then I'm sorry but you're too far gone. The Nas thread is not the world. You're acting like I'm saying MCHG is better than Life is Good.

I'm not hiding behind shyt with them Nas albums. I think the rapping is below par. I've asked people to quote the great bars and verses from them albums and it's tumbleweeds. But ultimately it doesn't matter. You love them albums, i don't. Nothing is gonna change that.

Some of the recent Nas guest verses gives me hope that the Premo album will be better at least from a rapping perspective. The Raekwon verse is his best verse in years. I liked the Mobb verses. I think Hit is a lazy producer and that rubs off on Nas. I hope Premo pushes Nas to rewrite verses when they're not good enough.

4:44 isn't better than all of the Hit Boy albums. And son is right. shyt I think me and u like the same rappers. But when it comes to Nas all I see u do is complain. Literally. No matter what he puts out. U complain. To me. That's a sign that Nas ain't for u anymore. And that's fine. Nas USED to be ur GOAT. But whatever u want from him he obviously ain't providing for u. This thread has some weird statements for real. And when u got a Nas post that @Cladyclad daps. U know u fukked up somewhere down the line. Lol.

I loved 4:44 when it came out, and it's still a good album, but it wasn't RD or Blueprint quality. Magic 1 and KD3 clear it easily. Hell, Jay could probably put out a better album now if he wanted to.

I don't know how closely you listened to any of the Hit-Boy albums, but you weren't impressed by any of these?

There's not much difference between the Nas on these songs and the Nas on the Legend Has It features. But I guess Premier will help him get back on track. We all know Nas' pen game needs guidance.

Song is cool, I like Big L verse more since we comparing but Nas verse was cool too.

You can see he was intentionally trying to get in Big Ls bag with some of the bars, which I thought was dope.

Nas rapping about VC shyt on a Big L joint :unimpressed:

Kinda sums him up in 2025.

1. That’s his world now. What else is he supposed to rap about?

2. It was only one line. You’re acting like the entire verse was about series rounds and exits. And how's that different from (insert rappers name here) rapping about being the first to do xyz?

3. Sums him up how?

My main thing is just the effort of the bars. Nas used to be able to say some shyt you never heard in your life. He had a way of coloring detail into his rhymes that could be poetic, vulgar or offkilter. sometimes at the same time. He would pull from references that were atypical. I don't hear that anymore. People talking about he killed this verse. What are the quotables? He's saying a whole of nothing in the plainest possible way. The rhymes just don't have that seasoning any more.

Fake Negro...go play his old songs. Fk is this nonsensical rambling gibberish. The man is fukking 52 yrs old. If he doesn't do it for you no more, he doesn't do it for you no more.
No need to enter threads writing dumb ass pointless epistles.

Breaking fukking news...Nasir Jones is no longer in his prime
