I mean his voice and cadence have most definitely changed over the last 30 years but he's sounded like this longer than he sounded like Illmatic/IWW/etc. at this point. :mjlol:
It’s an environmental change, lol…sounds silly but I really study this shhit, rhyming etc… To expound…he’s been living in the burbs and amongst them circles longer than he was in QB amongst the wolves…and it’s apparent in his tone/voice..even just the way he speaks period. He sounded like a young grimy hooly up until around what? Stillmatic? After that the change in rawness in his voice and shhit became clear…at least to weirdos like me who overanalyze this rap shh instead of just enjoying and vibin lol. His voice is still ill but yeah, that hooligan rawness is gone mostly…along with age as well.

If you legitimately think saying 4:44 is a better album than the Hitboy albums is an outlier crazy stan opinion then I'm sorry but you're too far gone. The Nas thread is not the world. You're acting like I'm saying MCHG is better than Life is Good.

I'm not hiding behind shyt with them Nas albums. I think the rapping is below par. I've asked people to quote the great bars and verses from them albums and it's tumbleweeds. But ultimately it doesn't matter. You love them albums, i don't. Nothing is gonna change that.

Some of the recent Nas guest verses gives me hope that the Premo album will be better at least from a rapping perspective. The Raekwon verse is his best verse in years. I liked the Mobb verses. I think Hit is a lazy producer and that rubs off on Nas. I hope Premo pushes Nas to rewrite verses when they're not good enough.
Complete idiocy all throughout this post , and nothing is gonna change that lol. Your opinion is shyt. Thanks I will ignore your posts indefinitely.

Both verses fire but the beat a lil too "clean" for an L track is the best way I can describe it.
i seen Vanderslice speaking on it and saying he felt Lord finesse shouldve did the beat

if it doesnt embed

he said this

That Big L & Nas beat is booty, and songs like this could lead to harsher criticism. Where as Prodigy sounds like he’s still with us, the album was done by Havoc and Alchemist. I don’t know who did this off brand shyt.. but Big L’s record shoulda been produced by Showbiz and Lord Finesse.. This shyt is patchwork, even if Nas dropped a 5 star verse.. it sounds wonky.
