I think he needs to slow down a bit, this would work well as a manga, anime even, but I dont really think people will clamour to see this. IMO he's better off doing a Primal spin-off with some of those characters. The unicron show was a flop (due to certain circumstance but still a flop) and the fixed movie turned a lot of people off so hes hitting a slump right now. Primal gets as much love as Samurai Jack and he should lean into that.

Why wouldn’t people want to see this?
I can see his core fans being interested, possibly gain some traction on netflix, but Im just not certain there will be enough people that would gravitate towards the subject for sony to put an investment in it, thats why they're nervous about it. If his latest film on netflix was a hit I think they would move forward with it, but just due to that film's reception they more than likely are looking at him a bit sideways. thats why i feel like he should improve upon one of his popular IP's and get some money back for them and try pushing something new. Just looking at it from a business perspective.

I was about to ask if this was Zombie SpearLooked like a possessed version of Spear
Looks like Genndy changed his mind on the anthology thing and wants to stay in the Spear universe, which I think is the best for the series overall. I never doubt Genndy but I don’t think the anthology thing would’ve been the best idea for the show
