BACKSTAGE News on why New Day is Inducting the Freebirds into HOF

According to F4WOnline.com, The New Day inducting The Freebirds into the WWE Hall of Fame stems from a couple reasons, the first being that Michael Hayes is a big fan of the group.

Additionally, it was noted that WWE’s big babyface plan for The New Day has something to do with the group inducting the Freebirds. WWE hopes The New Day will come out of their WrestleMania 32 match against The League of Nations as full-fledged babyfaces.

This company, man...

This is what I don't get about E. Haven't they been defacto babyfaces since Summerslam? Why is a grand turn necessary? They're already there. It's like back a couple years ago whenever people would start cheering Orton. He'd act heelish for a couple of months but eventually you know he's going to be doing jumping toe touches and smiling.

I guess what I'm saying is WWE has no idea how to make likeable heroes and these dudes may have flown too close to the sun already.

Big E is the runner up ether master of WWE to KO. But...he's still an independent contractor to Vince. He's unlikely, outside of power lifting events, going to have a platform near this one as there's no real Black superheroes of his size he can branch off to outside of Spawn.

This is why people are retarded to keep hating people who support the WWE. It's basically a collection of individuals who have to work for the most powerful boss in the industry. Supporting them is not supporting him directly. If people want to take that stance...hen brah-fukking-O, but you're not really saying anything. Pope can Jumpstart their careers, if you help them with your support, outside of this shythole of racism. Just applaud they're making money while they get that chance and STFU about people who are helping in that.

I agree with you, as well as the other things you've been saying in the thread.

Having thought about this...I feel like it's a good tactical move, and will probably benefit all parties, but might benefit ND more than anyone. The Fed gets an easy counter to accusations of bigotry ("But, 3 black men inducted them in!"), the Freebirds will look less racist (But make no mistake, I've no doubt that all of those cats are bigots, IDGAF if Hayes is polite to them backstage). ND on the other hand, not only gets the exposure of being a rather big part of the HOF Ceremony, but this may also help them reach a new audience/get some crossover appeal. I imagine that the rural, white, southern redneck fan is probably one of their weak-points in regards to connecting with the audience...if they "do the job", they might be able to sway a few of those people...:manny:

Honestly, I'm willing to bet that this is, at least partially, making up for that "I hate country music" skit they did....:lolbron: These cacs were salty, even Stone Cold was :umad:

I feel like *this* kind of shyt is actually more telling of how the WWE feels about an individual or group of individuals than say, winning non-heavyweight belts. They want brand people. PR over everything. Make no mistake, this is another platform being handed over to them. I hope they make the most of it.

I doubt ND gives a flying shyt about the FB. They know what's up. But they are three smart cats who are about their money so they are gonna sacrifice here for their futures. Even though they're over, these dudes likely have little to no actual leverage, and what capital they do have to spend, is probably spent on creative freedom and talking the Fed into merchandise ideas.

The only thing that will make me truly turn against this will be if they show images of the FB with confederate flags. After the Charleston shooting and the subsequent public conversation, the WWE should know that that's inappropriate in 2016, especially when they have a black group inducting them in. Whether or not they show them flagging will be most telling here. If they avoid it, than I'll continue to consider this a good PR move that benefits all parties, if they don't, I'm going to think that this was, at least partially, the company trying to make a political statement. I really hope they avoid it, this is already a blatantly calculative move, but if they have the ND out there putting over the rebel flag, that's just outright savage....:scusthov:

My fear is that I'm wrong, and that the only reason the ND is inducting them in, is *because* they plan on showing them flagging during their video package....:snoop: In which case, :pacspit: at the whole thing.

@Box Cutta...agree with everything you said, but they will show them with the Confederate flags, unless New Day made that a sticking point. It's going to be in their default video package and I know WWE doesn't have the racial sensitivity to cut that shyt out.

i was just listening to some wrestling podcast (with white people, shocking) and they were talking about how this is progress. yeah black people just need to swallow their pride and honor racist white dudes who painted their faces in confederate flags in the name of progress.

:scust:

deleted and unsubscribed to that shyt immediately. it's kind of crazy how tone def cacs are on racial issues, not really but these ones seemed alright for like 50 episodes of their podcast. suddenly though it's the responsibility of blacks to be submissive and ignore the past to them. the funny thing is these people think they're liberal too.

On point, breh, you and JACK killed it in this thread.

The poster who said ND isn't c00ning is dead wrong. They're losing integrity with this shyt. It's so frustrating trying to discuss this with cacs, they are just like the post above described, completely full of themselves in that they feel any inclusion should be celebrated and fawned over. Cacs are so fukking thick headed, they can't see it any way other than them being the standard and thus we're lucky if we can breathe their air :snoop:

For example, when I tell these honkeys that April 15, 1947 was a BAD day because it started the death of a black league, they just don't get it. They see the word inclusion, and automatically want to be patted on the back for it. I tell them the Tuskegee Airmen should have told the military to fukk themselves, cacs react all "WHAT! We let them fight for us!! They should be grateful!!". These fakkits cannot comprehend that they ain't shyt and should be rejected.

Same thing with athletes, I tell them that black Olympians should have won the medals for the RBG flag instead, and not have that shyt anthem played when on the podium. Cacs are bewildered, as they think it's an honor to play for their shyt flag. They never even heard of the Garvey flag. I will always hate white people, thank God we have this site where we can say this, I constantly get in trouble for that on other sites. According to them, it's equivalent to cac racism :what:

And have their extra payday cut, merch money halted, and be buried beyond belief because they told Vince McMahon no?

Considering Kofi has a child, Xavier is still paying for grad school, and Big E would have to make a major (and costly) career change, its best to choose what battle they want to fight while under contract with the WWE. And inducting the Freebirds is not one of them.
Says more about Vince than anything but what do I know :whiteparadise:

On JBL's wwe network show, he mentions Michael Hayes has a black daughter :dwillhuh:

edit: one of his ex wives has a half black daughter from a prior marriage

He admitted to saying "I'm more of a ****** than you are" to Mark Henry when he was drunk, but that Mark said he doesn't feel Hayes is racist and they're still friends

Ya'll still talking New Day, and that Big E, who came out and pulled ether on Hogan with no equivocation, no prepared conflicted statements like Mark Henry, permission from WWE, or any punch pulling is suddenly a c00n for having to do the job here? :manny:

The evidence says it's an extension of the Freebird rule continuity, period.

I'm not cheering for it, and I hate they have to do it, but with most things in the TSC, ya'll over analyze everything and see the absolute worst in most of it. Pull that heel turn because New Day is overexposed, but don't play them like this. It's a job, and it won't mean shyt when it happens. Despite the racism, Haynes is still actively employed. I have no idea why the owner of the company isn't taking all the heat, and you want to give it to dudes who toiled and finally going over. This is the only real thing outside their original church gimmick, that could be considered c00ning.

Just let them live with this lowercase L and keep it moving for Black unity in this one.
