Of course, whenever you're backed down in an argument you resort to smileys and "_____ is doing _______This nikka @Fatboi1 in here writing research papers trying to justify his stannary.
You forgot DriveClub has big bad "MICROTRANSACTIONS" too.
Now come on in here and tell me why it's ok if Sony does it![]()
".I don't even know why you telling me about Driveclub's microtransaction, I already touched on that with you in another thread but lemme jog your memory again.
DriveClub microtransactions will let you pay to unlock cars - DriveClub for PS4 NewsContrary to earlier reports DriveClub will include microtransactions, but they'll be limited to instant car unlocks rather than consumable currencies, game director Paul Rustchynsky has revealed.
"[Microtransactions have] been a hot topic of late inside gaming, and we've been very keen to take on board the feedback from gamers and make sure we don't upset anyone," he told IGN. "So, in DriveClub, what we've done is make sure that the progression system is really straightforward, really simple and gives you access to a lot of content really quickly.
"In DriveClub you earn Fame, and as you earn Fame, you level up. Every time you level up, we give you another car. There's no double gating or anything along those lines, you're given the car straight away without having to do anything else. The only thing we do have is a couple of shortcuts.
"If you want to unlock a car immediately, you can pay to unlock that car straight away but it's not a consumable microtransaction. We don't let people buy Fame, for example and spend lots and lots. The idea is if you want to shortcut things you can do – it's identical to what we did in Motorstorm RC. So if you played that, you know what we're doing here."
DriveClub's implementation of microtransactions appears to be slightly different to those featured in Sony's other AAA racer Gran Turismo 6 which allowed users to purchase in-game Credits using real world money. Credits could then be used to purchase in-game cars.
'Forza 5' DLC Cars Now Unlock Instantly, No In-Game Currency RequiredWith long term support for Forza 5 Motorsport waning right out of the gate, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that developer Turn 10 Studios would need to make some changes moving forward. But first, before thinking about Forza 6 there was the hope that the developer would at least clean up the experience in Forza 5 enough to avoid any unpleasantries. And that’s just what they’ve done.
Starting today, Turn 10 has removed the restriction on Forza Motorsport 5 DLC cars that required players purchase the vehicle using in-game credits after first purchasing it with real money. Now, any DLC cars purchased will appear in the garage instantly, as it should have been all along.
While Turn 10′s official statement cites the franchise’s 10-year anniversary as the impetus behind the decision, we’d venture to guess the vehement backlash from fans played a part as well. The idea of microtransactions in Forza 5 did not go over well with fans to begin with, but when it was soon discovered that paying to unlock new cars didn’t actually unlock them, Turn 10 came under immense scrutiny.
And no matter how hard they tried to defend the design decision or to lower the price for DLC cars, it was only a matter of time before they took the restriction off completely. It started with a tease – claims that the Forza economy might soon change – and now Turn 10 has made the change official and permanent.
With our most recent content update for Forza 5, I’m excited to say we’ve made some fundamental improvements to the Forza 5 experience for our fans. As of today, players who have purchased DLC cars in Forza Motorsport 5 can add those cars to their Forza 5 garage immediately, at no additional in-game cost. And, moving forward, when you buy a Car Pass, a DLC car pack, or a single DLC car, you will be granted the one-time free addition of each car to your Forza 5 garage, without needing to purchase them with in-game credits or tokens. This goes for all current Forza Motorsport 5 DLC (including cars in previous DLC car packs) and it will be the case for all future Forza 5 DLC car packs. In addition, as requested by our fans, this most recent content update makes all of the initial 200 cars that launched with Forza 5 available as rental cars.
Oftentimes when a developer makes a poor design decision or adds an unwanted feature, they are left to face the wrath of the gaming populace without hope of reprieve. In some cases, though, there is a chance at redemption, even if it means making a complete 180 on your line of thinking. SimCity developer Maxis Games, for example, spent a full year tiptoeing around the fact gamers wanted an offline mode, before actually giving it to them.
In Turn 10 Studios’ case, the 180 was also there all along, but it took them some time for them to realize it. Now that they have, the hope is that they will listen a little more closely to fan requests and shy away from any poorly implemented microtransactions in the future. More importantly, this recent backlash gives Forza Horizon developer Playground Games – who may have a title in the works for 2014 – a clearer picture of what fans want out of a Forza game.
Are you glad that Turn 10 is finally responding to fan requests? Do you think it’s too little too late?
Micro's designed around tedious grinding that compels users to buy content is what's kind of the issue, not simply micro's in a game. That was the issue with Forza 5 and other games. Turn 10 wouldn't remove the restrictions had it been fine from the get go.
Oh and the complementary joke by @dikkrider23.
so it's pay-2-win![]()

I can't refute the shyt he's saying... Lemme deflect real quick.
"
i didn't really mean death 30fps is just fine"
". Is Driveclub out?? I can only talk about what I'm seeing and hearing from previews. Forza is out, I can talk about it because I played it, I seen it. You posted a pic in this thread that was compressed and zoomed in talking about look at the 2d trees. I mean what are you even trying to say here? The game doesn't even have 2D trees.
How many 1080p/60fps games are on XB1 compared to PS4 I ask again?
. You on your fallacies are something else.
