Basically. PS4 exclusives don't have any comparions because the won't be on PC. Every multiplat that will be on PC will be>>>>>>>>>>> by default but don't no one need to be telling me how a PS4 exclusive doesn't look better than X game on PC when it's not even a version for it on the PC.

I know when Naughty Dog shows off their next title, it's going to leave nikkas in a coma. shyt I'll be blown away tomorrow night. :ohlawd:

Look money ain't no concern to me but the whole PC gaming shyt makes no sense. Why pay 2-3x the price of a console to set up a gaming rig with graphics cards 3x more powerful than the consoles if no one is developing games to take advantage of all the excess power. Almost every large game developer is making games for the widest possible audience. There aren't many people with $3k gaming PCs to justify developers to make games suited for those system. Thus ya'll never get games that actually exploit all that power.

All ya'll are getting for all that extra money and energy is slightly better framerate, clarity, and definition. I would love to buy the most advanced graphics card and make a PC that is 5x more powerful than the PS4, but if no developer is going to invest millions to create games to exploit all that excess power, why should I do it?

PC gaming makes no sense IMO unless you're willing to put in all that extra money and energy for slightly higher definition console games.

PC is always going to be more powerful, but it's getting to be at the point where things on console will just simply be good enough to the average gamer.

The last time that consoles were truly ahead of PCs was when Super Mario 64 dropped.

To my first point, it shows when something is ~20~% greater when in the past, you were able to see the differences like 5,000 polygons on Mario 64 to 6,500 polygons in a PC. It's not the same now when you have that same difference from 12 million polygons a screen on consoles vs 14 million on PC. The same percentage difference is there and while I might be able to see some of the differences, most people with diminishing returns and a less discerning eye, will not.

No there are several tiers of pc gaming you can partake in. You can get a midrange pc that blows away PS4/Xbone right now and it'll be less than $600.
My first rig I built in November of last year had a low-mid range card in it that played most of the newer games on medium/high at 1080P above 30fps. My video card upgrade was $230, came with several game codes that I sold AND it plays the same games from before at 60fps on high/ultra very smoothly. Once you can play one game in 60fps, it's hard to go back to 30fps gaming. It's really hard to explain the differences unless you see it in person and love tinkering with shyt.

You don't have to have a $3k gaming rig to game on PC's. Those with that much money invested obviously are playing on a whole 'nother level with multiple screens and all. Again, it's more than just "getting slightly better gfx" and whatnot it's a hobby to some people.

Again, there's no one forcing you to pay that much money on a gaming rig. People can do other things on their pc besides playing games you know. My gaming rig is well under $700 yet it has a more powerful GPU in it AND can do much more. I can mod games, get games for very cheap, customize a game's visuals to my liking, play old emulators with HD settings etc. being able to play Wii games in HD is something that isn't possible at all outside of PC emulation. Being able to download mods to games breath life into old games that would otherwise sit on shelves upon completion for console versions.

Hey don't knock it until you try it. My PC isn't just a machine that plays "slightly" better looking games. You're really underselling the difference. Seeing Tomb Raider on PC maxed out vs it's console cousin wasn't no slight upgrade, it was a night and day difference. Being able to purchase games at a huge discount with many advantages besides graphics is no joke. I was like :wow: when I bought Arkham City GOTY for only $4 bucks a few months ago. Buying Bioshock Infinite day 1 for $32. Being able to play GTA IV with crazy ass mods that make the game completely different is well worth it. I can play Wii games that natively run in 480P at 1440P at 60fps. :wow:

I don't understand why people even attempt to discuss PC gaming when they obviously have no clue what they're talking about. @Fatboi1 already cleared some shyt up....but god damn. Some of you sound like 80 year olds completely out of touch with technology.

I :heh: when these same people claim they could PC game if they wanted to. No, you obviously couldn't. You'd fukk around and blow $5000 in Best Buy because you have no idea what you're doing. The extent of your knowledge begins and ends with plugging a console in, just stick with that.

This gen isn't as much about games looking that much more graphically impressive, but them being just fukking huge and open. Check out the amount of open world games announced and shown at E3. It's nuts. And these games are huge. This gen is going to be fantastic

I ain't hating on consoles at all...I'm planning on copping a PS4 and look forward to see what the devs can do to push graphics. Its just hard to get hype about this gen compared to the last just because we already pretty much know what the graphical limit of this gen is due to the huge gap between PC and console hardware right now.....PC hardware advanced at a WAY faster rate than consoles. In the past it was always pretty close but now :yeshrug:. I mean we getting hype of 8 gb ram when my laptop has 16gb and 32gb is pretty standard for most gaming comps . Of course games nowadays ain't using nearly that max potential so consoles have the positive of game developers pushing harder to max that out.

PC gaming has spoiled us...

BF3 on ultra looks almost like BF4. I think we are hitting a ceiling visually, the next step is shyt like draw distance, physics, and ect like that. They still haven't quite captured realistic movements yet, and some games seem to be moving backwards in that department....NBA Live 14 looks liek robots playing basketball
