This seems spot on. When I heard dude explaining the premise (some type of global operation, crypto or something like that) it seemed nothing like New Jack City. Dude seemed confident in the script and he is talented but I wasn’t really feeling the idea.

I don't mind villain origins as long as the writers don't go out their way to make them some misunderstood anti hero. As long as they let Nino be Nino I'll watch.

Most villains in their origin stories are gonna fall more in line with anti-hero, their extended time in the dark corrupts them.

I just hope that they don't try to justify Nino. Nino is a villain and the OG movie has established that Nino was a narcissistic sociopath even in his youth when he was talking to Scottie on the rooftop.

If the same people behind Snowfall do it(excluding John Singleton) this could be dope. FX should be all over this imo. Would be much better as a series than a movie probably.
