Yea I know. I'm just thinking of the mid 80s and early 90s as a whole. I made a hell of a mix last night just reminiscing shyt almost brought a tear to my eye. Hell do kids even wake up in the morning and clean anymore? nikka my old lady had this big ass old school 8 track player, vinyl player, radio combo monstrosity in the house and she use to blast that shyt every Saturday morning where we had to clean up. These songs were the theme music to my childhood. I don't want to throw the thread off by changing the topic I'll just say that I miss it and thankful that I grew up on timeless music.

I swear on everything I was about to make an appreciation thread for the New Jack Swing a week ago. Kudos to the OP for actually making this thread . I was young when this started to pop off, but I remember clearly the movement getting a lot of hate -- especially from hip-hop and the rappers who were doing gangsta rap -- given the fact that it 'infused' some of its elements (most notably the drums & some of the content), but I'll be damned looking back on it that the New Jack Swing didn't produce some classic songs.

This right here will forever be my joint (although the extended version isn't on Youtube, which is the one I really like):

And I refuse to post any other songs in this post because this song right here needs to be appreciated on its own. Damn this still goes :wow:. I still fukks with music today, but there's nothing out there that can replicate what I feel when I hear dopeness like this.
