but let me back it up real quick:
we used to get amped reciting the lyrics to "rumpshaker" on the bus to away games.
we used to get on the field mad hype. looking back, you'd think we wouldve ran str8 at their cheerleaders considering what the song was about.

This thread makes me happy and sad at the same time. Man, I miss these days listening to this music while my mom cleaned up the house or whenever my aunt would have those ignant ass house parties and made all the kids dance. And my uncle was in his 20's when this music came out and he use to have all the classics bumping from his tape deck.

A homeboy of mine had his 30th birthday party last month, and him and his girl had a New Jack Swing theme to it, and I can't even lie, it was one of the most fun parties I've been to in a minute.
Funniest part of the night was all of the young chicks (early 20s) who had came that had never heard most of the songs that was playing, and was just standing around, until this track came on, and got EVERYBODY dancing and singing along with it:

People were getting all nostalgic to some of the songs, talking about childhood memories, bringing up old dances, having dance contests on some House Party shyt...lol. Was a bunch of good times that the New Jack Swing era symbolized.
Monoblock props on those mixes you posted...I had forgot about some of those songs. + Rep homie.
