^^whats crazy is that theyre just a few years younger than my parents. i was surprised when i found out. i dont think alot of people know. they were around 26 when they did the 1st house party.

theyre like the same age as run dmc. they just came out later. i guess its kinda like how jay is close in age to people like rakim.

NJS was all about choreographic dancing and having fun. Not like today's club scene which is all about image and not having a fun time out.

the downside to great threads such as these is the fact that we post so many links that alot of them tend to get ignored.

more threads about these artists in specific need to be made.

I think the best part of the movement was how it was an era where nikkas just came together for good times. Short lived cuz of how westcoast hip hop was leveling cities with gangsta rap. Parties, dances, some cookouts, and just rolling with homies and girls was good shyt with some Bel Biv Devoe or Tony Toni Tone setting the mood.

Yeah, I missed the choreographic dancing, the fun times with a broad, and all that. Gangsta rap ended all that

Someone needs to sample New Jack Swing records in this new era.
