These are kids just outside of the range. Like their parents can "technically" afford it, but obviously they're juggling all sorts of bills and shyt.

I never used to get lunch shamed because we were from the hood and would get suspended for fighting with the quickness but I did use to hate that shyt when it was obvious we were getting free lunch cause our family was poor.

I'm sure everybody knew already lol... But still stayed fresh and that's all that mattered

I work at an LSC and one of our clients can't get his transcripts because the school is holding a lunch debt over his head. And he was supposed to have been receiving free lunch.

I was speechless when I read the case notes.

Yeah it would be a nightmare if he didn't have us to help. Which is ironic considering that he's from a county that voted for Trump, and Trump is trying to eliminate LSC funding.

I've seen some dumb things happen in the schools that I have worked/volunteered at, but nothing to this level.

I remember in middle school the lunch tickets were blue, but if you were on assistance they gave you these bright red tickets. I'm like WTF you doing that shyt to kids for? They just wanted to humiliate those kids
