Yea, it's gonna be a good Concert song. Radio and girls will love it. And thats what matters. Pharrell knows what hes doing. Probably will hear this in a commercial or movie soon too.
The more "Nerd" sounding stuff will come next. But this song and video was more to create that instant "hype" and get a hit.

I get the feeling this is a track Pharrell done had laying around for a minute and while there maybe a NERD album in the works, this is 1 he just thought would work and decided for it to be the single before the lead single and probably thinking it'll work since he's kinda been putting out some pretty successful singles in recent yrs.
But this ain't it. This sounds waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too simple.
I get the feeling Pharrell, Chad and Shay don't even hardly keep in touch w/ each other no more.
Obviously things change once everyone branches out and starts getting married and having a family but I don't know, I feel all 3 of them all been on different pages for a long time.

I’m glad they are back but I’ll have to listen to this a few times with headphones and give my assessment. shyt feels like “Hot & Fun” part 2, which I wasn’t feeling back when that dropped.
Pharrell is clearly steering the ship musically like he has been for some time and that N.E.R.D feel isn’t there on this one but I will give it a chance. They didn’t have to come back together to do any music, so I’m just happy they’re doing this.
And yes, the track feels like a Pharrell vault song with him cashing in the Rihanna favor since I’m sure the whole damn industry owes him at this point. But I’d rather be throw the track to her as a solo for her next project and they do their thing. But, this could be the next evolution for the group. I still wanna hear more singing on whatever their next album sounds like instead of this rap/sing hybrid that everyone is doing.
