That's my childhood so I remember vividly how the 90s was shyt was wild. The DJs in the hood was one of the better experiences from back then. That is until goons started shooting92 in the city, boys were getting killed for Starter jackets.
Infamous Slim words is, “you lived past 94, you a OG”

Nah, ppl definitely dressed different. DC and PG/MD nikkas in particular dressed way different from ppl in other regions.

My brother’s too. He’s 7 years older than me. I remember my mama not letting him wear his brand new Charlotte hornets starter to a party. Made that boy put on a leather blazer from my daddy. He was heated. Came back home after the party freezing with the jacket rolled up under his arm. This had to be like in 92-93.That's my childhood so I remember vividly how the 90s was shyt was wild. We were still wearing the Girbauds with the straps out in the country till like 08/09 when the colorful skinny jeans Era started lolWhen I lived in New Orleans in (93?)
Girbaus Jean shorts with vertical stripes were popular
And those Girbaud short sets were popular I think they were counterfeit though but still hot.
N.O. brehs yall remember them?
Aight breh. Yea the projects in the south, especially in New Orleans was a monster. Not to derail the topic...
But the public housing in the south/midwest is completely different because the conditions were way worse...
Not trying to violate, but at least up top, shyt was somewhat tempered
some grown men rob me of my starter jacket at the super fair when I was like 5. Gave it to the kid that was with them. I uncles and cousins caught the dudes and beat them damn near to death. My brother’s too. He’s 7 years older than me.
