It seems that nowadays, important cases like this are more like temporary internet memes, instead of being stories that can consistently hold the attention of the public offline from beginning to end....and even beyond
Most people won't give a fukk about this case again until verdict time. Mind you, the media will be all up on the trial as it progresses, but most people ain't gonna watch it close like that. They just basically wanna know if dude is going to prison or not; forget the actual facts of the case. And then after the verdict will be the initial reaction of joy/anger.....then like a month later some other scandal will get everyone's attention, and that'll be the end of that
