I'd watch that over some hood dvds where nikkas are incriminating themselves and acting like monkeys without any sort of in depth explanation.

I don't sense any sort of condescending tone from the vice reporters at all. In fact some of them are swag and coo as fukk

The fact that you don't think Black people can tell their own stories tells me what kind of Black person you are already :camby:

Funny that Drill is a music scene from a SMALL part of Chicago Eastside Dro City shyt that seeped to the Southside but you don't see these White outsiders including Chance's "tweaker" scene or Bop on the Westside or older heads like Tree The MC to show the diversity of Chicago just the sensational violence to get idiots like you thinking it's all dangerous zoo filled with animals. You don't learn the pathology because it's not from a first person perspective and like @GreenOva415 said, it's all fake outrage.

I don't fukk with Vice or Noisey cause they've come to represent the current generation way too much. While I do find some of their work to be interesting, it usually just boils down to 'look at this, its happening in the world, now here's the next NEW story for you to care about momentarily.' While I'm not asking for them to solve or get to the root of every story they publish, I take issue with the fact that they almost never commit to the issues they're presenting; like many people of this generation, they're informed, but don't take any action whatsoever. It has reached a point where it feels like everything they present is for entertainment under the false guise of being informative and beneficial.

They've covered all these stories, and have done nothing other than make us think "wow.. Well, what's the next story?"

Dumb ass, the other link you posted WAS by a black person, Q produced the very one you posted and you tried to make it come off as racist. :snoop:

I don't want to know about the tweaker scene that shyt is boring, and are you saying that vice only covers black violent hoods? Do you watch vice nikka? Apparently not. You're talking out of your ass right now. Where were you when they were documenting meth labs? Was that racist? or how about pot heads in Denver? white homeless hobbos?

I see what type of black man YOU are, the one that's always a victim, you sound like a beat up wife.

Q isn't from Chicago you gnat and he's the owner of WSHH, he's still an outsider :dahell:

Tweaker scene is boring, bop is boring? Yeah we get it c00n ass negro, more guns.

Meth labs is a specific regional issue? shyt isn't the same. I will say it's classist and just as shytty as them exploiting poor Blacks with their fragmented and shytty documentaries geared towards suburban ass toms like you.

They are a news outlet. Nothing more nothing less. It is not their responsiblity to aid anyone. I've never seen channel 7 news come and document a murder or shoot out and then grab a gun and start busting back or passing out blankets. They're not the red cross.

Compare local news to Internet hipster regionless "news" brehs. Wonder why our culture has been infiltrated, commoditized and diluted.

edit: weak nikkas editing post well after being replied to :deadmanny:

What does that have to do with racism? Are you saying that WSHH is racist? Perhaps you were looking for another word?
Vice isn't from chicago just like Q, and no one is stopping DGains or anyone else from chicago from doing a documentary. They are more than welcome to do one also, who the fukk is stopping them? wtf.

If you want to know about the tweaker scene and some chicago suburban shyt that's on you, funny you call me a suburbanite (which I am btw) yet you want to see documentaries on it's scene. :mjlolz:

Ah, so when we show poor whites it's regional, but when we show poor blacks it's racial. I see. Victimized ass nikka you sound like a broad that got slapped by her wife.

No WSHH is classist. A well off Black man profiting off the ignorance of poor Blacks. Vice is clasist, racist, etc they don't discriminate

Yeah breh DGains is going to have the same allocated funds that trust baby John from Montana can get to film a full length. What do you think the music, twitters and videos is for? Of course people only want the most sensational parts of it.

Who said I wanted to see those scenes in particular? I clearly said that this shyt is pandering and fragmented because it promotes a unified Chiraq under the banner of "drill" when that's a tiny part of it.

Can you read, boy? I said this documentary is regional, boy, and enforces stereotypes about a whole race promoted without any counteracting forces, boy. Them meth documentaries is classist and targets poor Whites but by in large, there are more positive images of White people being promoted to swallow up any kind of stigma that would stick, boy.

I get you, and I'm not saying that they should be out there fixing these issues, but what they're doing now is certainly not impressing me, especially when given how smug the Vice crew seem to be.

From what I've seen, they're sure about being the next best thing in journalism right now, but all their coverage on a lot of issues fall short of being worthwhile imo. Unless they've overhauled their site, I remember their content feeling shallow, especially when compared to a publication like the New York Times.

The basic premise of Vice is 'lets find the coolest, most far out shyt thats happening right now! Damn man, that shyt was dope! Blew my fukking mind! Lets bail and see what else we can come up with'

Which is cool if you just watch Vice as lowbrow entertainment. But yeah, like you said, the format caters to our generation perfectly

When they first came out they were a bit shallow, but ever since they started using freelancers, they've gotten quite more in depth in content.

They are currently covering the CAR situation in real time, in fact I think they're the only crew doing it, excluding Al Jazeera.

You do realize Vice isn't a monolith? It's possible to have some regular shyt and a ton of irresponsible shyt?
No shyt, they're an outlet which utilize a series of freelance and contract reporters to cover events in real time. You generalizing them is hilarious. Drill is big right now, and you're over here trying to make it seem like they're out there covering it to show black people in a bad light, no dumb ass they're covering it because currently chicago drill is running shyt. If Chicago Juke were running shyt, Vice would be covering that instead. A simple glance at their page, you'd realize they cover a broad spectrum from poor to rich, black to white.
