No shyt, they're an outlet which utilize a series of freelance and contract reporters to cover events in real time. You generalizing them is hilarious. Drill is big right now, and you're over here trying to make it seem like they're out there covering it to show black people in a bad light, no dumb ass they're covering it because currently chicago drill is running shyt. If Chicago Juke were running shyt, Vice would be covering that instead. A simple glance at their page, you'd realize they cover a broad spectrum from poor to rich, black to white.

Drill running shyt? Yeah ok :russ: Do you man, I can't help a sucka sheep from uncle tom'ing :obama:

You're black and don't even know the drill sound swarmed 2013. And yet you spend 90% of your time on a hiphop site. :mjlolz:

Even I know this, and I'm in the suburbs, you should be ashamed of yourself. :mjlolz:

Tbh, I watched Hood 2 Hood when I was younger and Ghetto Brawls, etc.

I know that this isn't anything to glorify and make cool (like they're doing in the trailer), but the nikka in me loves this shyt.

Hopefully it drops on the same day as Bang 3 :noah:

If by 2013 you mean 2012 between when Back From The Dead came out and Finally Rich came out then yea :rudy:

"Bang" "Beef" "Get Smoked" "My Hoes They Do Drugs" summed up what these "documentaries" couldn't achieve and it's from the people who are directly effected by it however obtuse :ld:

I appreciate all the responses here from both sides.

I don't trust White people to tell Black stories, but after reading this thread, I will definitely wait until I see this film before passing judgement on it.

I will watch it very critically, probably even more than once so I can catch all the nuanced shyt as well.

:what:

nikka, did you miss Fredo Trappin Aint Dead (Kdot even got in on a single)? SD mixtape (Danny Brown even featured)? Bibby - Free Crack? Lil Reese - Life of a Savage? Katie Got Bandz - Drillary Clinton? (she just got back from a gig in London). Swag Deniro - Stop Playin? Lil Durk - Signed to the Streets. There's a good 10 more, but I'll stop here, they've been topping the charts on livemixtape and datspiff like every month for the past year. Finally Rich ain't even considered a drill album. :russ: :camby:

Drill/Drill artists covered about 40% of urban magazines last year. Wasn't Bibby just on Hot 97 earlier this week?

There's a reason WSHH did a documentary on Drill last week and it's not because the scene is dead I can tell you that much LOL.

Documentaries are supposed to give you insight on scenes, not solve the problems within them. The only people that can solve what's going on in southside chicago are native southside chicagoans.

All garbage and failed to capture and build on that whole movement. Like I said, those documentaries aint giving any kind of new insight that the music, twitters, etc ain't already tell us.

Meanwhile every single from every one of the mixtapes I listed are smashing dancefloors all across chicago. :camby:

I don't think the documentaries are supposed to give any 'new' insight but rather, give you a visual to the audio. It's probably new to casual hiphop listeners or people that aren't really into drill. They did a documentary on Houston Screw, and altho I know a little about it, I didnt know the history and it was new insight to me, like the north and south wars.

The reason stuff like this exist is because it's a novelty thing for cacs and they know these nikkas ain't about shyt. They're too busy c00ning and killing each other and will get real quiet whne they're front of the cac jury. I'm sure ya'll remember that news report where they had a bunch of chi nikkas interviewed by an old cac, they all got quiet and respectful around him, bet it's the other way in their hoods :ld:

If you all cape and support this ignant shyt, don't get mad when whitey comes and make fun of it in some novelty shyt. Black people would be better off detaching themselves from these fukk ups, you don't see cacs :cape: for trailer trash cacs.
