The video is well done and the timing is right on time. To get all that visual in a five minute song :whoo:

I like this song, Cole, and the album in general, but this video is a microcosm of Cole's biggest issue; his shyt can be all over the place with no focus sometimes. Even on this track there're random lines that seem to be there for no reason. The song's called Get Off My dikk, it seems like he's going for the structure of a relationship (The Break Up, The Make Up), he has a line about rich black nikkas being famous/broke black nikkas being brainless, a Ying Yang twins inspired hook....son what the fukk is this song about?:dahell:

No Role Modelz from the title should be about the lack of role models, right? It seems to start off that way with a shout out to Uncle Phil, even brings up Martin Luther King (as cringe worthy as it is to hear him say he'd be on Dreamville). Second verse he brings up a lack of role models, but then just starts talking about chicks. It seems to be more about how women today ain't shyt compared to older generations of women. What happened to no role models, doe?:dahell:Again a hook, despite being catchy as fukk, that has nothing to do with the perceived point of the song. I like both songs but I'm not sure if dude even knows what he's trying to do. He shines on a track like A Tale of 2 Citiez where he stays on topic and coherently presents a dope concept...but again a hook that doesn't really ride with the tone of the rest of the song: Hands in the air now...word Jermaine?:dahell:

BECAUSE OF NO ROLE MODELS DUMMY! :dahell: I know you can't be dumb enough to not catch on to the caparison of 2 different generations of women. 1 generation who we assume had decent role models like the Sade's and Nia Long's and the current generation who are influenced by the "bytches from reality shows". Again :dahell:

I swear it's like some of y'all REFUSE to see what this man is really saying sometimes.

Cole is known for being blatantly honest in music and letting his audience know exactly how he's feeling and not have gossip sites run through his life and that's what GOMD is about, "You wanna know just where I'm at well let me tell you bout it"

I had to login just to post this shyt :snoop:

If the song was going to be about role models for women, then why was the first verse dedicated to uncle Phil? Why was Martin Luther King brought up if this was a song dedicated to role models for women? Cleary I'm not dumb enough to not realize the song is comparing two different generations of women considering I mentioned that the song is comparing two different generations of women in the fukking post you quoted:snoop: How did one generation have role models like Sade and Nia Long if Sade and Nia Long are the ones he's talking about being in that generation in the first place?:dahell:

fukk it, how does George W Bush fit in with the premise of the song?:dahell:Don't tell me it's some correlation with girls playing games(fool me once, fool me twice) since Cole is loading the chopper to make it rain on somebody or other. I'm a Cole fan, The songs I mentioned are inherently flawed and I'm not gonna be a stan to the extent where I'll ignore that

It's about no role models in general, 2nd verse touches on women, bush sample was just a jab
