New ‘Wonder Woman’ Feature in the Works at DC Studios, James Gunn Confirms

I like Adria Arjona, but I think she might be slightly too old for the role. She's currently 33, and the new WW movie probably won't start production until 2026 or 2027 (maybe later).

I think that Gunn will probably want an actress in their late 20s and very early 30s (so about 27-31 years old) at the start of production. For example, Gal Gadot was cast as WW in 2013 when she was 28.

She was the quasi love interest for Boyega in that Pacific Rim sequel that bombed 8 years ago? She was fine as hell. Like super fine

But yea her window kinda passed. Scarlett was 25 when she debuted in Ironman 2 as Black Widow. Brie was 29 when CM dropped.

That's not how the movie industry works.

Kevin Feige had Phase 1 of the MCU mapped out before they even filmed the first Iron Man movie.

Not sure why cats think studios should only be planning one movie at a time.

The old regime fukked up by trying to rush an Avengers level movie, forcing it in 5 movies.

Gunn has made it clear that they're in no rush for that type of movie.

I see them making the same mistakes the synderverse made . What they should do is make a movie, see the reception and make movies based on the characters people like . No one is dying for a WW movie right now . But after Superman , look and see how the supergirl movie does then go from there

The Penguin tv show was in preproduction before the Batman was released in theaters.

Gunn has already said just because something is announced doesn’t mean it will get made unless the script is ready.

They want a Wonder Woman movie but it won’t get made until they crack the script. Supergirl is based on one acclaimed run so it was easier to get in production.

If so, Batman wouldn't have any movies after Batman & Robin, no Spider-Man movies after Spider-Man 3 or Amazing Spider-Man 2, no Superman movies after Superman 3 or 4, etc.

Shes basically a female superman with less of an interesting story and shyttier rogues.

On a level people can relate to the tragic events bruce and peter went through to make them "human" WW is basically a god made of clay thats come to liberate us all. She doesnt have a weakness like clark nor can she be beaten like bruce or peter.

Her rogues gallery is shyt after ares and cheetah and shes nigh immortal.

OK, but that's a different point than what I was talking about. WW can have a successful film franchise just like the biggest male heroes (that was my point).

Anyway, Batman and Spider-Man have essentially become "nigh immortal" in recent times (especially Batman). Batman is not really a "human with no powers" lol. He's pretty much a low-level metahuman. Spidey is insanely strong and really hard to beat.
