the Steam controller is meant to be a compromise for those that want to play mouse/kb games with a controller. there's not much use for it if you're already comfortable playing with mouse/kb. although the haptics tech is interesting, and I can imagine future games being designed to take advantage of it

BTW, for those wondering why kinect is not included...Microsoft has basically admitted defeat in trying to get it pushed via bundles. Microsoft promotes 12 sku's of the xbox one online and only 2 of them include kinect. I am assuming that once that old lot is depleted there will be NO sku's with kinect available.

Which is considering the system is designed around kinect.

When I buy one it will have a kinect.

The $500 price tag might never work in console gaming. It automatically screams too expensive to the majority of the console crowd.

I've been saying that shyt for a very long time now. Didn't matter if Microsoft included Kinect, the elite controller, a year of live, a pure SSD, and 5 games.

I understand that, but you guys seem surprised that there is backlash about the price from console gamers.

I knew $500 would get some negativity. IMO they should have designed it as a special limited edition with a custom paint job to avoid some some of it. Like they did with the halo 5 bundle
