Now that I think about it, this is a better deal than the halo 5 bundle.

Better internals and a better controller. Don't like the controller? Sell it for a regular pad and halo 5 if you wish :yeshrug:

I understand that, but you guys seem surprised that there is backlash about the price from console gamers.

I knew $500 would get some negativity. IMO they should have designed it as a special limited edition with a custom paint job to avoid some some of it. Like they did with the halo 5 bundle :yeshrug:
it is kind of limited (only available at gamestop and microsoft.com), and comes with a matte finish

it will be interesting to see what kind of difference the hybrid drive makes. it's conceivable (but unlikely) that they could also upgrade it to SATA 3.0. my guess is it will make the UI more responsive, but not effect games much

I don't like hybrid drives much and prefer Apple's approach with a "fusion drive". I doubt Microsoft is willing to implement that into the Xbox OS at this point in the game though.

I would assume the flash portion is what? 8GB? That doesn't even fit a full retail release. Will be nice to load up Netflix and be able to log in without having to go through the process of telling the Xbox to go to Netflix twice :francis:

You can literally still buy the day one edition of xbox one on amazon. It hasnt sold out in a year and a half
further strengthens my point.

$500 in the console market is almost certain death unless you smarten up later on.
