I just don't see how you wanted the US to restrict travel after the Jan 2nd briefing when human-to-human transmission wasn't even officially acknowledged by the WHO until almost 3 weeks later. Our government isn't gonna take pandemic actions based on WeChat conversations. Jan 2nd was a briefing. The real "alarm" was the info that came between 14th-21st. All countries took action soon after that.
Yes, Trump admin dragged their feet for the longest... just not from the Jan 2nd briefing.

Yeah, I had to question some of these narrative shifts. ALOT of cacs are dying, yet I keep seeing reports that this is effecting black ppl the most. Maybe disproportionate to the overall population. It's ravaging New Orleans and Detroit and those cities are some of the blackest. But nationwide numbers are a diffirent story.

TO BE FAIR, the recovery rate for Covid may be higher than reported. Mostly because ppl aren't getting tested or hospitalised until symptoms are too sever for self isolation and self recovery. So the ppl being tested are already in the most fatal stages of the disease and when they die, they become another covid death statistic. Whereas those who are in self quarantine, dealing with it in silence, and are recovering or asymptomatic, they won't be counted as Covid recoveries. Even on here we see so many posters saying they probably had it, or dealt with a really, really bad flu two weeks ago, and are now back to normal. They won't be counted as those who have recovered from Covid.I almost didn’t respond to you because of the trolling but 1 billion people got the flu in 2019. 600,000 of them died. That’s sad for those people but that’s not even 1 percent. So far, 1 million people have gotten the corona virus and 67,000 have died. You can do the math here big dogThats above a five percent death rate worldwide. If 1 billion people got this virus like the flu, somewhere between 6 to 7 million people would die. I know it’s scary and you wanna think that’s it’s a hoax to help you sleep better but it’s not going away and it’s 10x more deadlier than the flu. Stop spreading false information.

Most Chinese citizens outside of Wuhan probably didn't even know what was in store.You had a clear warning, and plenty of time to sort your shyt out and prepare because it didnt originate in the US. But no, now you have a projected death rate of a quarter million people by years end. That does not show any level of seriousness. America is a major international destination, and so is China. Are you trying to tell me that it didnt occur to you to restrict travel from China when WHO reported in Jan? You had to see people dying first to leap into action..

POTUS has more access to intel/data than the avg person, even more than the avg Chinese citizen at the time.
