13 hospitals, 665 cases of Covid 19. Still nearly 3 weeks out from the expected peak. I wouldn't imagine they'd be overrun at the moment.

That said, what kind of work does your friend do? All of my friends are going to work as usual.

I could be wrong it may just be certain parts of the south that wont be hit as hard.

Cali getting hit but not terribly right now.

The more spread out places will be hit a little less

TO BE FAIR, the recovery rate for Covid may be higher than reported. Mostly because ppl aren't getting tested or hospitalised until symptoms are too sever for self isolation and self recovery. So the ppl being tested are already in the most fatal stages of the disease and when they die, they become another covid death statistic. Whereas those who are in self quarantine, dealing with it in silence, and are recovering or asymptomatic, they won't be counted as Covid recoveries. Even on here we see so many posters saying they probably had it, or dealt with a really, really bad flu two weeks ago, and are now back to normal. They won't be counted as those who have recovered from Covid.

By that same logic you can say the recovery rate for flu is higher as well as tons of people get the flu every year, don’t get tested for it and just ride it out. No matter how you slice it, Covid is a multitude more deadlier than the Flu.

Yep. Charlotte is a city with plenty of space. Social distancing isn't hard in Charlotte. The worst wave is yet to hit, but I don't know if it'll hit as hard as NYC. Ppl in this thread don't understand geography and tend to think "The South" is a monolith.

NYC isn't built for shyt like this, so it's expected to hit us the hardest. I still hope ya South brehs follow Social Distancing for the next couple of weeks. While shyt is more wide-spread for you guys, that also means it's going to take one dikkhead to fukk up an entire county just by spreading that shyt. Let's hope it's only spreading in warmer climates because of travelers coming back home. This month is going to be a killer, but I hope by the end we have some answers.

She works in-take at the emergency room at a hospital. I think people have been encouraged to stay at home unless it’s an actual emergency so there’s a lot less going down. Also a lot of people are afraid of contracting the virus FROM the hospitals so they staying at home.Thats just my hot take on it tho.

That makes sense. I had to go to the hospital for an appointment I booked six months prior and the triage, reception, etc were a lot more sparse than the first time.
