he's also our best player. If you don't wanna keep our best player, there isn't a player now or later that you'd keep or a player now or later that you'd pay. Why would the Jets pay any good player worth a damn if they're not gonna pay their best player? Because he's a corner? Fine, don't pay him. The Jets can continue to actually pay the weak links. See how that continues to blow up in the Jets' face.

Revis aint playing out this final year. We know what Revis will do....history tells us.

Why not get some compensation for him now...instead of signing him to an overpriced deal and dealing with this circus in another 2-3 years when he isnt the highest paid player in the sport?

The Mario Williams deal and NNmadi deal arent exactly ringing endorsements for giving Revis an enormous contract.

He's better than both of them. Hell, considering Mario's a pass rusher, you would have jumped at the chance to pay Mario that money. Darrelle Revis worrying about what he gets is nothing compared to circus surrounding the crap on this team that we're paying handsomely.

The problem with the Jets is that their best player is a CB

That was fine on his first contract or even his second. But on the 3rd contract.....do we really want to lock in Mario Williams money for a guy to lock down the shytty WR's in our division?

you're not spending money on a qb, or big money on a rb - you need to fill a guard position, and line backer (through the draft that can be done) so where's all this money going next yr or the year after?

And let's say we get a 1 and a 3 for Revis.

both of those picks may have to go towards drafting a replacement for Revis AND a replacement for one of our safeties. They wouldn't even be plugging in holes. They'd just be refilling the ones they'd lose by losing their best corner and safety.

yep, then god forbid we draft another good corner, we gonna let him walk too?

i'd even get rid of/make the following restructure AFTER next yr:

sanchez
holmes
ferguson
harris
cromartie

worthless QB, diva/overrated receiver, LT gets destroyed every yr and on the decline, ilb getting paid the highest in the league and hasnt produced anymore, cro is gonna decline (need to fill ANOTHER corner spot)

BUT let's get rid of our homegrown drafted hof caliber talent to pay the rest of this trash

for arguments sake, even if we had money, you think a free agent or someone like joe flacco is coming to the jets, ESPECIALLY with rex around?
