Here's something else to think about...
5 years, 42.5 million, 20 mil guaranteed.
That was the contract given to none other than Pierre Garcon. You know, the same Garcon that like Decker was dismissed as a product of Manning. Unlike Decker though, he never had as much success with Manning as Decker did (Garcon never reached 1000 yards while playing with Peyton). And last year Garcon had a great year, putting up 100+ receptions and 1300) yards with a one legged RG3 (and Kirk Cousins). He proved that he wasn't a product of Manning.
I don't see any reason why Decker can't do the same. And he's not even getting paid as much as Pierre.
Good move for the Jets but with Garcon you could see the talent he had to be a number 1 and came up with big catches with Peyton...I just dont see that with Decker...if you play him physically he disappears like he did in the SB.
I hear you on that. No doubt Garcon is a better receiver than Decker.Good move for the Jets but with Garcon you could see the talent he had to be a number 1 and came up with big catches with Peyton...I just dont see that with Decker...if you play him physically he disappears like he did in the SB.
Here's my thing....when Geno got familiar with a very to below average receiver like David Nelson late in the season, he started making theseI'm not totally sold on Decker, but Seattle shut down everyone this year. He's obviously an upgrade to what the Jets had though.
Not too many qbs can make thatHere's my thing....when Geno got familiar with a very to below average receiver like David Nelson late in the season, he started making these
Type of completions.
I see him doing this with more frequency with a better receiver in Decker .
Ps....that second Geno throw....Not too many qbs can make that
lol @ how quick some of ya'll have given up on Geno Christ.
I'm willing to give hill one more chance. He did play through a bad knee most of the season, because early on, he was straight beating people downfield.I mean I like Geno and I think the team does too, they're just not saying it publicly. It lessens the media coverage and keeps him hungry. Geno with Kerley was a different player. I think Nelson got better late in the year too.
Hill is trash. He probably won't make the team.

My point wasn't to compare them from a talent standpoint, my point was that you shouldn't write off Decker just because he played with Manning. Not every receiver that plays with Manning is a product of him. And I don't think Decker will be our #1 guy. He's just of of the few WRs the Jets plan to bring in to upgrade the position. I still think we'll sign another receiver and draft one as well. Decker can be a very good #2 option IMO
I haven't.lol @ how quick some of ya'll have given up on Geno Christ.

I certainly haven't. He was so assertive late in the season and didn't shyt the bed against the pantherslol @ how quick some of ya'll have given up on Geno Christ.

Can't say enough about having a good slot guy like Kerely
His problem is his dumb ass looking for lanes across the field rather than his qb. He got Geno killed. In Marty's system you have to run the horizontal routes...he looks like he's attempting to walk across a frozen pond across the field.

One thing I really hated is people that think Geno locks onto one guy. I've seen him scan the field throughout the season
