935,512/3,5000,000=26.7% immigrants. Therefore 100%-26.7=73.3% African Americans.
Of that 73.3% African Americans we know from historical facts that the majority of those folks ancestry is from the Southern United States. Now are there circumstances where some of the African Americans have roots in Jamaica, Dominican, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Africa, Haiti and places like that? Yes. However, the vast majority of African Americans families immigrated to New York from the Southern USA rather than from outside of the Country.
