I am a NYC native and resident - that's my official residence.. The info was the opinion of a NYC resident about why they don't like living there. That interests me more than someone who doesn't live there speaking on it. I didn't ask for originality or thought provoking commentary, just for the poster to expound on their opinion.

As a DC native I'd take NYC's subway any day of the week

The one time I tried using DC metro the guy at the station in Silver Sprig told me it was a 28 minute wait and at that time I didn’t know there was any system in america who did the pay by mile transit fare so when he told me that shyt I walked right out that station and grabbed my car.
And to be honest I don’t like using my car when I travel to cities!

It's not just an NYC thing, it's the whole metro area being overcrowded and having bad infrastructure. Every day on the news someone's got a problem with LIRR, Metro North or NJ Transit. I had a family member who worked for NJT at one point and the stories they'd tell you would surprise you.
