I used to have that same gripe with NY cats that @Suge Knight just mentioned. They always be on some “We don’t do this in *insert borough* “

“I got shooters back home..... in *insert borough*

When I was at A&T (in Greensboro, NC) my squad of Winston-Salem folks for one semester had a minor beef with some NY cats. (Dudes mainly, never the ladies, they was chill)

And that shyt almost came to a head in a brawl in cafe fresh year.

I said this one line that I think deaded the war. Not trynna punk no one or be a tough guy but just a reminder to them for “perspective”

We in the cafe in like a crowded Thursday around dinner time. I forgot how the shyt popped off but it did get to the point where niccas started standing up like cats was about to go to war.

Then I remember one NY cat snapping and was like “Maaaaaan fukk all y’all country Bama ass n***as. I’m from Brooklyn. All I gotto do is make one fukking call and my niccas will come down here and air y’all n***as out” (doing the gun pulling trigger hand gesture at us)

To which I replied back “n***a. We from Winston. How bout you go make your call and we go make ours and let’s find out what’s really good. One thing I can promise y’all is, by the time your boys get down here. It’ll be all over for you and They will never be able to find y’all and or hear from y’all again!”

The niccas then had to do the math and we could literally see that shyt running through they heads like...

...... it’s like a 10-12 hr drive from NY to NC and a 20-30 min drive from Winston to Gboro.

From that moment we never had any issue with NY cats again at A&T

Moral of the story, you “can” be the hardest cat on the planet, but when you out of your comfort zone in a foreign place with limited backup. You have to be humble and respectful.

Alway respect your local cats and save that “hometown tough guy” shyt for your hometown
