Southerners wear the "south" on their sleeves.

But regionalism on that level doesnt exist in the north. Nyers dont look to boston, dc and philly as northern brothers the way southern cities do with each other. Nyers arent really self aware to region beyond maybe the Tri-state.

Theres no real cohesive concept to the "north". Just separated metropolitan areas

East Hartford has a lot of blacks and Puerto Ricans. The rest of Connecticut is slathered in mayonnaise.
