its a very valid theory. not even that, so many ppl already locked up. alotta murders and crimes are done by repeat offenders. lockin the heavy hitters will have big impacts on crime.

and iono about NY, but i kno alotta bangers in cali feel a kinda war fatigue. ppl overall jus tired of the madness with the murders, and retaliations and so much senseless violence. alotta ppl jus kinda bang back

Look at Harlem and Washington Heights now
Look at parts of Brooklyn too
White people everywhere
Gentrification like a motherfukker

Basically NY is "safer" now because once blacks (and other minorities) started wildin outside of their communities and killing/raping/robbing whites the state/city government/law enforcement made it job number one to clean up crime on a massive scale, as the bad publicity not only affected the tourism industry & New York's reputation but the overall bottom line $$$$$$$$$$$. Same process will take place in Chicago (or any other major city) once the violence from these ignorant knuckleheads gets out of hand, spills into downtown/affluent areas and white Jane/John Doe is harmed or murdered.
