Almost everything bad in America can be traced back to a monetized industry requiring it to be so.

And our political leadership looking the other way as the population gets nickel and dimed by big business.

Thats it in a nutshell.

Went down to the islands, saw my cousin's home currently mid build. Cinder block, rebar and when finished it's gonna be a fortress.

Less to build but if I wanted to do the same up here, not allowed.

Ish is madness how we pay way more for less and nobody thinks it strange.

I'm sure it will and I hope he gets the greatest compliment a Black Caribbean houseowner can have and that's being accosted by a Cac who's clearly trespassing on his property and accusing HIM of being the Help and not the owner. :wow: It burns they souls slow, to see black folk with "Big houses" and automatically start coping by accusing us all of being Drug dealers and Tony Montana and such to be able to afford such 'big houses' that we "Didn't Earn". fukk out of here back to your Hoboken Studio, Cac.

I have a DR Horton home. It was built about 10 years ago and we've had zero issues with the home. It's energy efficient and has held up great. The whole process of buying the home was easy. I also live in California where the building standards are higher then most every other state. When we purchased the home we had heard of the bad reviews so we did our research and noticed all the bad reviews were coming mostly from Texas and Florida. We even got a low rate on our insurance mostly because of the sprinkler system. Our home has doubled in value since we've bought it.

Facts. Those carefully built brick or stone homes with nice layouts are better. Me and my wife are looking in the market now and we have only liked nicer older homes

Just had a new house built last Jan. When I closed and moved in I was the second house on my street. So I got to watch while they put up the houses on either side of me. Brehs they put these shyts up so fast I was :picard:

My builder is Dreamfinders. Plenty of complaints online. I thankfully had few issues. I was on my builders ass during construction. I was popping up and touring the construction. After I closed I used my year home warranty for any small thing I found.

This is imo the main culprit of the housing crisis.

The way we build only one type of housing is way houses are artificially inflated. Most people grew up on streets with a variety of styles. So there was no way houses were locked in to stay at a price because a nearby house sold for an amount.

So now the older houses can sell higher cause “ they aren’t made like that anymore” in comparison to these crappy build subdivision ones. And these older houses don’t even need to be have repairs done to sell.

Facts I notice this rarely brought…People are a lot more educated and aware so they gonna be a cautious about locking into a potential trap down the road..My coworker hired three different inspectors to evaluate a home him and his wife where really interested in, he was telling the realtor was low key pissed when they brang in the 3rd inspector and decided to move on..

When I first got there, I noticed the wealthy neighborhoods in DC were all red brick homes in yards and the masses lived in wooden tinder boxes..

On my old campus they were building some new homes, some nice duplexes..them shyts went up in like a month. It was my first time seeing an actual construction in detail and it was all plywood.

They even sprayed some green slime in the yard and a week later there was a whole lawn

You can definitely find nice solidly built homes in the non wealthy parts of DC…

With that said you see these new modern condo and townhome developments all over the city it’s not exclusive because you got transplants who move in to the city and prioritize location and being in the mix over everything else..
