I was just looking at the stats this year.

this season only like 11 players played all 82 games with one of them shockingly being CP3.

I went back randomly to the 2002/2003 season and u had like 45 players who played 82 games. so this talk of players sitting out a ton of games and load management is COMPLETELY legit.

They played 14 games in 30 days with only a 6 man rotation. They are being held together by gum and shoestring. Makes it even more embarrassing the clippers lost to the nuggets

This current CBA is gonna make it so hard to maintain depth if you're a championship team. I can see this occurring more in the future where teams only have 6 reliable guys in the playoffs
Nobody told them they could only play six players. These teams have 15 man rosters and I’m constantly told this is the most talented era ever, so talented that the league should expand. So what’s the issue?

A study found that today’s NBA player runs 250 miles more per season on average than the game of yesteryear.

Today’s league is exponentially more physically demanding and taxing.

Bringing up how much today’s player makes is just an exercise in resentment.

These Achilles and hamstring injuries are wear and tear. Asking for a little more rest between playoff games is a reasonable request. Unless you hate them for some reason.

There are two days rest multiple times during the first two rounds

The playoffs can't go on forever

Are tatums and dames achilies injury the result of this "wear or tear" or were they freak injuries that could of happen with 3 weeks of rest.

You mean the 90s where players would stand around on both ends when possessions where dominated by 1v1s, and defenders weren't sprinting around to defend 3s?

That 90s?

Players cover more miles in today's game and they play at a higher insensity. I don't know why we need to keep going over this just because folks feel the need to remind us that the 90s had 'real men' and hard fouls.

Nostalgia has these guys in a chokehold and it is pointless to have a reasonable conversation with them

I don't know how many of my fellow old heads remember, but there was a time on memorial day weekend in the playoffs where a team would play on Sunday, and play the next game on Monday, and I'm like why not. You are in the same city and don't have to travel. Muthafuçkaz be wantin' too much time off
To be fair players today are putting far more stress on their joints. Only so much modern medicine can do. You’re asking for major injuries when B2B in the playoffs

The audacity of a bunch of middle and lower class goofballs campaigning for workers to get less rest.

"Oh but they're millionaires!"

Word? You think if somebody gave you a pay raise you'd be happy if they worked you more?

"They're athletes. It's different!!!"

Yeah ok. It aint yo ass out there traveling across the country, playing at a high level, dealing with injuries, doing rehab, practices, being away from your friends and family...etc
