Here, it was at least 3 days

PSN remains down three days after Christmas, Sony responds

http://kotaku.com/day-after-christmas-outage-xbox-live-back-psn-down-fo-1675287800

It was more than that from some people.

When you have headlines saying XBL is back and PSN is still down, you can't fault people for the perception that XBL is the better service.
1. Days does not equal your "weeks" statement
2. The same article discusses XBL being down also
3. The fact remains PS4 and XB1 have indistinguishable online service in terms of multiplayer gaming experience.

The perception that XBL is better than PSN stems from the long period of time PSN was down during the PS3 era.
It was easy for 360 fans to laugh at Sony and say "This is the level of service you can expect from a FREE service".
I even based all of my game purchases around the crippled PSN during the PS3 time. I purposely bought all of my multiplayer games for 360 and single player games for PS3. That's how much I had personally given up on PSN at the time.
Today the services cost the same and offer the same experience. Again, strictly in regards to the online experience.

Still curious about these ps4 online short comings you mentioned. What am I not getting from ps4 online play that is offered somewhere else?
It's been posted.

If y'all chose to ignore it then that's on you.

PSN has been hacked and down for weeks, with people losing their CC info.

When both were attacked recently, XBL was back in a matter of hours, PSN took days.

PSN speeds are notoriously slow.

PSN accounts are prone to getting compromised and Sony DOES NOT offer refunds

And worst part of it all is they quietly announced this price increase without detailing any plans for improvement.

Now honesty it's not a big deal, the service generally works as expected. But don't pretend people are just making stuff up:mjlol:

Breh, that clearly says that Xbox was back within the first day and PSN was down for more than 3 days.

People still getting their money stolen and not getting a refund

People still have slow as fukk download speeds

Why y'all even defending it anymore?

It's no big deal. Just pay the increase and be happy with your service:mjlol:

But that isn't affecting my gameplay. You can have your card comprimised just by using it at Target, but that doesn't want to make me shop at walmart. And the speeds are slow? In what way? My online play is just fine. Seems like dudes shortcomings for ps4 online play don't really exist. Or does another system provide something that I'm missing out on?

Did I say PS4?

People didn't just suddenly forget about that shyt cause PS4 came out.

Especially when we have more recent examples of PSN being down for an extended period of time, AND we still have continual reports of people getting their money/accounts stolen and Sony telling them to kick rocks.

Why do you feel the need to defend Sony's honor?

From the same article:

As of 11:00pm ET last night, I had been able to log onto Xbox Live on my Xbox 360 but could not on my Xbox One. Without being able to log in, I couldn't download games, play online or even access the pinned app icons on my system dashboard, which are saved in Microsoft's computing cloud.

PSN had been working on my PS3 last night but not on my PS4, preventing me from accessing the PlayStation store or play games online.
Where's the difference?

You asked a question and got an answer.

If you want to pretend that stuff doesn't exist than there's nothing more I can say:manny:

Money stolen can happen on either console. It's 2016. If you don't protect your info thats on you. We should all be selective with what personal info we put in the hands of ANY company.
Download speeds vary but any number of variables. In my experience, download speeds have been slower on my xb1 than my ps4. For example, just last night, I bought a digital copy of Titanfall (I have the disc but it was only $5 so I figured, what the heck, I'll pay that for the convenience of not dealing with the disc. Why not). As the game downloaded, I tried to watch Netflix and the stream kept buffering.
I turned on my PS4 and the stream was perfectly fine. I don't use that as a claim to argue which system downloads what faster because there are too many variables in each set up and how each system handles jobs. So to say "PS4 (or whatever console) has slow download speeds is just stan talk with no concrete evidence.
I play PS4 and XB1 extensively. I don't make statements based on the experience of others.

The guy you responded was specifically talking about PS4. You get so amped at the opportunity to advance your stannery that you don't even read what you're responding to.
I'm not defending anyone's honor. The current systems offer the same service at the same price. You're the only one pretending that $60 is laughable without even realizing its the same exact price for XBL. Explain the logic of laughing at a price increase that makes the PSN the same price as XBL.

"As of 11:50 last night"

Would have been Christmas night.

We all know both were down Christmas night.

The difference is XBL was back the next morning and PSN was down for at least 3 more days.

I know you can read. You willing to make a fool of yourself just to defend Sony?

Damn shame:smh:

People aren't just making this shyt up:mjlol:

Look I don't really care, I wasn't even a part of this dumb shyt in here.

That Sony stannary really makes y'all act like some 12 year old girls.

I'm no longer interested in this I'm out
